lovely site

Our first visit to this site really enjoyed it, wardens very helpful and facilities immaculate, big wide pitches and site very clean and tidy, we loved the walks around the lake. in my opinion these sites are too expensive for us to use on a regular basis. There was some noise from the motorway but the trees screened it and it didn't bother us.

nice place to visit

I frequent this site a lot as it is easy for me to get to from where I live so after my stay at the beginning of the month wasn't going to write a review However after just looking at some of the reviews about people not adhering to the speed limit some of you don't adhere to the one way system either I watched 2 lots of people go past me and up the no entry way ,I reported it to the wardens and she said we tell people but they don't listen ,so pay attention folks cos if you go up a road that is one way what happens if someone is coming down ??? who is going to reverse back ????

Brilliant

First time we have used this site as a very convenient stop over off the M1.   The pitches are generous and the facilities immaculate.  Nice to have a walk around Poolsbrook Reserve before a good nights sleep and onward journey.   Would use again without a doubt

Another lovely stay

We have been visiting this site for a good number of years, the site staff are such lovely people. Some reviews mention the noise from the M1, I have very good hearing and the road noise is from local roads not the motorway. The Site pictures do need updating because the trees that appear to be saplings have long since matured. There isn't a playground for children on site but I,m told there is a brilliant playground next door in the Country Park. With regards to the reference to the Industrial Estate close to the site, yes it is there but you can't see or hear anything from the site. When we were booking in the staff reminded us of the need to respect the 5mph speed limit, which isn't a problem, but to some drivers it does seem to be difficult to keep to 10mph. Lots of walks cycle trails from the site as other reviewers have stated. Will we return, of course we will.

Poolsbrook CC Site

Stayed for one night as part of a whirlwind tour of the area. As usual the facilities are spotless and being a reasonably new site they are also ultra modern. Very open plan with large pitches. A little road noise but that did not detract from the quiet, peaceful atmosphere. Would definitely recommend and hope to return for a longer stay.

Great Stay

A wonderful site. Very clean and well maintained. The facilities are spotless and the staff warm and freindly. Location, well it's right in the park and on the side of the Trans Pennine way. A short walk from the site is a bus stop to Chesterfield and beyond, and another short walk takes you into Stavely. All in all, very enjoyable

Excellent. Our favourite site

I cannot praise this site high enough. The wardens are very pleasant and work hard to maintain a very high standard. The shower block is spotless, the site is pristine and has a well cared for look. The position is ideal for cycling and walking. This was our first visit to Poolsbrook but will definitely not be our last. WELL DONE

Lovely Modern Site

Stayed here overnight on our way to Castleton. Very nicely laid out site with spacious pitches and excellent facilities block. The approach to the site is through a slightly run down industrial area which is a bit off putting but once on site there is plenty of space for walking the dog etc.
