Peace and Tranquility

Although there are no toilet or shower blocks this site has to be rated as one of the best, the site is well layed out,the scenery and local surroundings are stunning, especially this time of year, there are two very large dog walks on site,or you can walk out the site straight unto the moors, and walk for miles,Whitby is a few miles down the road, and i had no problems parking the motorhome there.

Peace and quiet but plenty to do

Over the years we have been regular visitors to this site, peace and quiet but plenty to do, Although there is no toilet block here it is clean and well kept, plenty of places to visit eg Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay are two of the favourites, We regular visit Pickering while staying here, this last visit 17th 18th 19th Oct was the annual Pickering War Weekend, absolutely brilliant go online and read about it and get booked in for next year, Well recommended, More information from the Caravan Club about this event would be appreciated, we met two couples staying on the site who was upset because they missed the event because they just didn't know it was happening. However this is a great place to stay and you could stay for a couple of weeks and find something to do or somewhere to visit every day, we will be back again next year. one of our favourites!

As the title states this is one of our favourite sites. We have been here many times and always enjoyed the visit. Lots of wonderful walking nearby & only a short drive to the coast. Facilities are basic but what a wonderful place to be. We like being there early & late in the year, wish it was open longer.

More North York Moors Please

Fantastic site and the views of the Moors were breathtaking.  We took our two Granddaughters (18 months and 35 months) and they loved helping to take the dogs for a walk and crazy golf was a big hit. The wardens were fantastic, helpful and friendly too. We stayed for 4 nights the second week of September and tried to pack in as much as we could visiting all the wonderful towns and villages as well as exploring the Moors.  We will be booking to go back in 2016 as we ran out of time.  We would fully recommend this site 10 out of 10.

Yorkshire Gem

Just returned from this site, stayed for five nights and I have to rate it first class. The wardens were very friendly and helpful and they keep the site immaculate. There are two brilliant on-site dog walks with bins provided for the poo-bags although a certain few didn`t bother to pick up (you know who you are). Plenty to do and see with nowhere too far away. Although we didn`t use it the chip van duly arrived and was quite busy. Regarding comments about there being no toilet block, that is the best thing as this is why the site prices are more affordable and if your caravan / motorhome has the facilities why not use them? Altogether a lovely holiday at a lovely place, definitely recommend.

cracking site..

This site is really very nice . Been here twice now , peace and quiet , lovely location..  wardens are spot on 10/10. This site would be 10/10 if it had toilet block showers.   The only other small thing, it says its mobile freindly , which it is not , you have to walk right up the main road outside to get a signal, which is not a problem , but may upset some people who like to moan ... i rate this site 8/10.

Lovely Site

This was our first caravan trip everything went to plan with the help of the wardens and the volunteer wardens who deserve a huge thank you. The site was brilliant well kept everything spick and span our pitch was lovely, plenty of room. The location was great close to so many interesting places and walks. We will be back although having now experienced our first caravan holiday it may be a while there are so many other places to visit first.

cracking site

This was our second visit to the site and still enjoyed it as much as last time. When we arrived there was only 1 pitch left but waited for the next day for a better sunny pitch witch the wardens helped me choose after a busy days driving.(bereavement) (dog) I can only praise the wardens for there hard work in keeping the site clean and tidy and in general with any questions asked helped in the best possible way. the Friday night chippy van was brill but got eaten alive by the migys whilst waiting, peace and quiet 3 as we had another loud mouth shouting at the kids every 2 mins but did let the wardens no on leaving.many thanks will return.

Great place tp relax

I have stayed at Low Moor 4 times now and I have always found the site to be peaceful and quiet, there is so much to see and do from the site with Robin Hood's bay and Whitby just a stones throw away, and for the rail enthusiast a trip to Grosmont for the North Yorkshire Moors railway is a MUST!!! The site is tidy and well kept by the friendly wardens. The only drawback is the lack of a toilet block which reflects the lower score, this would be the icing on the cake... :O)

A Yorkshire Gem!

Just spent another fantastic 9 nights at one of our favourite club sites. What a great base it makes for seeing some of the best that Yorkshire can offer, great castles, fabulous gardens, stirring moors scenery, heritage railways and, of course, the jewel in the crown, Whitby. This has to be one of the most captivating seaside towns in the whole of the country, not just Yorkshire. It just doesn`t change. We`ve been visiting it for many years now and we`re glad to say that its splendour never fades. The site has seen some welcome improvements from the present team of wardens and volunteers. It looks much tidier and is well kept. Will never tire of going back. Love it.
