Echo

I can only echo the latest posts about this lovely site . Although it doesn't have a facilities block it does have the advantage of a super position for the Coast and Moors and is very very price competitive. The site is very professionally kept by the excellent managers who also went out of their way when we ran out of gas at a very inconvenient time. Best of all though is the birdlife. Lots of options to see things both close to and on site..Highlights included a woodpecker feeding her recently fledged chicks whilst competing with the squirrels at the feeders.

Welcome Return

I first visited this site on the return from Scotland. The location would be hard to beat but the site had an unloved feel to it, although that did not stop me booking it again this year. So much has changed for the better that I am adding my first ever review on this forum. The new wardens should be congratulated for their hard work and obvious enthusiasm in bringing about this fantastic change. Will be back again when time permits.

Oasis of calm

What a difference a year makes, the site is welcoming, the grass is cut, long grass between the large trees is trimmed, the trees have been trimmed. We have been coming to North Yorkshire Moors for many years, (known to us and will always be as Low Moor). It is such a beautiful site, very peaceful. The new Wardens are so friendly and helpful, views of the sea from the entrance and the moors from the window of the caravan. Service points are spotless, new gravel on the pitches has really tidied the site up. It is easy to see that the Wardens have worked really hard to make a difference to the site.

Peaceful spot......

Just had 7 nights at this site our first visit and was very impressesed.  Agree with all positive views submitted, peaceful, well maintained and excellent situation to explore the beautiful East Coast of Yorkshire.

Peace and Birdsong

We spent a couple of nights here at Easter with our two dogs. The site has two woodland dog walking areas which are a pleasure to walk through. The pitches are spacious and well maintained and there is a small crazy golf course for those with children. Wardens were very friendly and hardworking. A lovely peaceful site which we will definitely return to.

peace and quite and doggie heaven

Just returned home from a six night stay at the north yorkshire moors site ( formerly low moor) the name change has not altered the site still a haven of peace and quite. Clean and tidy with well maintained pitches and friendly wardens. even though there is no toilet block it still gets a 5star from me for facilities as the facilities that are provided are spotless and the site well maintained. Take your pick of walks from the sites, a stroll down to may beck, breakfast at falling foss café, ( superb) or a hike across the moors to fylingdales or robin hoods bay, the choices are endless. with decent shops in nearby Whitby I feel it is the ideal site for a peaceful break away and will return again( I have already visited the site more than 20 times) highly recommended

an oasis of peace and quiet.

we have been visiting this site for some twenty years now and there has been very little or no change and that's the way we like it the only traffic noise you hear is the site traffic.the only reason i have marked three for cleanliness and facilities is because there are no facilities to score but i am sure if there were they would get top marks, all in all a lovely site and i am sure everyone has all the facilities they need in their caravans.

Favourite of ours

We visit this site regularly and are always there when the site opens each year and have just returned. A lot of work has been done on the hard standings and the site looks really good with a lovely display of flowering tubs outside reception. The new wardens are very friendly and helpful. This site is great if you want peace and quiet and to see squirrels and hares darting around and an array of birds feeding. (Re other reviews) ... we have never experienced noisy dogs or lots of them in the 10 years we have been visiting. Previous reviews make it sound like Battersea Dogs Home!! It's not. It probably isn't the best site for families as there's not much for children to do or any toilets/shower blocks, which is why we like it. It's a great location for walkers like us and central for getting to various places in the area. The Tea Gardens at Falling Foss are a must to visit whilst you're around. Can't wait to go back.
