Nice site.

First visit won't be the last, nice clean tidy site, we have never stayed at a site without facilities before but it wasn't a problem. Nice wardens and nice people staying.

Not Your Usual Club Site...no rows of vans, just birdsong.

Last minute booking and although we don't 'do' Club sites this is well worth it. Compact with a ring road linking several glades of trees/pitches with the western pitches overlooking the moors and valleys (pitch 20 a delight). Quiet and peaceful and yet within easy access to both the coast and the North York Moors. Walking straight from the site to Falling Foss waterfall and brilliant little tea room.We paid £14 per night - can't go wrong! We will definitely return!

nice weekend

Just got back from this lovely site , the location is spot on with Whitby and Robins Hood bay not far away by car.  There is plenty to do in the area for all concerned and the pitches are really nice and when all the trees become full of bloom then it will be delightful and will make this site really lovely .The site doesnt   have toilets or internet ,but thats a small price to pay for  the peace and quiet. when we arrived ,the warden was helpful ,but my only bad report is that one of the water points is not very good and is a bit of a mud bath ,which makes the water barrels muddy when you get back to the caravan  (the caravan club need to do some maintenance  work on this ). overall  great and would return

Peaceful stop

We stayed only one night on this peaceful site. Only gave 3 ticks for family because we don't come with children - when we had the lads with us they loved stone table tennis on sites! Will visit again!

peaceful

We arrived on site and was met and welcomed by a pleasant warden, directed to suitable pitches and offered assistance if required. We spent a long peaceful weekend here, it was the Whitby Goth Weekend which was near enough yet far enough away to be able relax after attending the festival. We will be going again as this was ideal for us.

This will become one of our regular sites

We first visited this site last back-end (2015) and really enjoyed it. This was our first trip out this year 22-24/04/2016 and our first with our new caravan. It's a gem of a site.Lovely and peaceful, no traffic thundering by.It was a cold week-end but we still enjoyed ourselves. We also found a large supermarket just on the outskirts of Whitby so next time we come I don't need to bring food. We only live an hours drive away so this will be ideal for short breaks when we are limited on time, as well as the long stays. The staff were lovely even tho they were just the stand-ins. My only criticism would be that the dog waste bin at the entrance had not been emptied.

Easter break at Whitby.

We had a safe but quite hair raising journey as there are a few challenging hills and corners to negotiate en route to the site. The site is sufficiently set back from the main road (the site is adjacent to small road) for it to be peaceful. The area is beautiful and has long been a favourite of ours. As well as Whitby there is Robin Hood's Bay and further north Staithes, both are very picturesque but very steep. Whitby is very dog friendly with most eateries allowing them in. Best of all was the Rusty Shears which even brought our pooches a treat of their own, "dogaccinos" warmed frosted milk served in China bowls! We'll definitely be back.

Fantastic

After a ride round one sunny summers day we was very impressed. We stopped to talk to the warden, he told us about the goth weekend and suggested we booked as it get full quickly. Not being a goth and knowing very little about them we decided to give it a go. And glad we did. So thank you to the warden. The site itself was great. Very clean and well looked after. We will be back.
