Peace and quiet
Friendly welcome from wardens. Site busy but we were lucky to get a pitch that suited us. Site was well maintained with a lovely dog walk where we were lucky to see a deer in amongst the trees not more than 20 yards from caravans. Excellent location for walking or for trips to Whitby, via park and ride. Can recommend walk to Foss Falls Cafe where food is delicious.
Recommend getting Disc Zone Display from wardens that will allow up to 3 hours free parking at West Cliff on edge of Whitby.
The site was so peaceful which seemed to encourage people to talk to each other which is great.
It's a pity that the usual few exceptions don't seem to be able to follow simple pitching instructions and abandon cars at the front of the pitch or even move the peg marker on the grass pitch next to us rather than pitch where the warden wanted him to.
However weather was good on the whole and we enjoyed a lovely two week holiday.
Fish and Chip van on the Friday night was excellent.
