Lovely & peaceful

A lovely warm welcome on arrival, some sites could learn from this. Spotlessly clean & a very peaceful site. We like walking but the area lacked walking distance to good pubs, cycling was great you could access some fabulous pubs within 5 miles of the site. Bus stops right outside the site.  A lovely stay, would be happy to return.

Great site for the area

Just back home after an 8 day stay at this site. Everything was excellent and is a credit to the site wardens and the club in general. Small tip...get an ice cream from the shop by Ludham Bridge only 200 yds from the site. They are huge "whippy style" with a flake in for under £2.....a bargin. Then just site by the bridge and watch the boats go by....great. I know a bit sad but its the small things in life!

First stop on a lovely site which we will be pleased to re visit

Couple with motorhome stayed 2 nights at the end of June as part of a road trip. We were on site early but were greeted by the wardens and sorted out non the less. Had a spacious pitch within easy reach of the facilities. We had arranged to meet some friends who lived locally and the weather being so good chose to have a barbeque, the wardens lent us some patio chairs to increase the guests comfort "Brilliant" . The site locality is next to the very pleasant Ludham bridge that has a café and shop, the local pub the Dog (in our view it is aptly named) is a few metres down the road in the opposite direction to the bridge. Local bus services are available from outside the site to Wroxham , Norwich etc. We spent a day in Norwich which is always a fab city to spend time in, try the Belgian Monk for lunch , Visit the Castle or Cathedral etc. In summary we wished we had been able to stay longer at this site run by fabulous wardens, well done and thanks. return

We had a really lovely time again at this well maintained site. The wardens are very helpful and friendly. There are so many little beaches around and so much to do. Did not take a boat out this time as the days were filled even when overcast. Looking forward to going back in August with the grandchild, she is six and loved last years break with us there. Great place, thanks to the staff.

Toilets

Great site, perfect location, toilets spotless as usual but caravan club need to do something about the gents. There are just not enough toilets when the site is nearly full. Stayed Friday to Sunday & both mornings had to que for the loo for a considerable amount of time. They are also far too hot & no fresh air as there are no windows. The forced ventilation just does not work. Give us open windows, a very unhealthy atmosphere.

Right on the Broads, great for cycling or walking!

Nice site, easy to find just through Ludham, very  friendly and helpful staff, usual good quality facilities. Layout is very regular with some hedges to break it up a bit but pitches don't have much privacy. A short walk (3mins) to the local pub or 15mins to the village. The broads are literally 50yds up the road at Ludham bridge with easy access onto the waterways, great to just wander through the reeds watching the wildlife. There's a small shop and a cafe here. Cycling in the area is easy, some maps in the sites info centre, access to the coast, villages, windmills etc . Plenty to see and do, we hope to return with more time to explore!   b or

Nice location for the Broads

Just returned from a nice visit from this well located site.It is well laid out with plenty of space between pitches with hedges seperating them. The wardens as mentioned are very friendly and are a credit to the caravan club. The location of the site is great for visiting the broads .There is a shop just along the road at the bridge selling produce and newspapers etc. There is also a cafe serving adequate food. The Dog inn is within walking of the site serving food.Obviously at the bridge you can watch the boating activities and enjoy walks along the riverbank. Our only critisim is that during our stay the hedges were being cut and the daily noise of the activity was a bit over bearing. However we will be back again at another time to enjoy this site

a little gem!

We have just returned from a week at this site and I have nothing but praise for it. We were greeted with a very warm welcome, even though they were extremely busy. The site is spacious, clean, well laid out and ideally located to visit nearby places. It has all the facilities one could need. The wardens were always busy around the site and always stopped to chat with you. I wish we lived a bit closer as we would definitely make this one of our regular stops!

so good visited twice

Visited the site twice in the space of 4 weeks in April & May and both times we were greeted warmly by the wardens. The site is well kept and on both occasions we found it quite even when the site was busy. The showers could do with some upgrading but for the amount of use they get are pretty good. The site location is close to the river and has plenty of walks without having to drive to other locations. Cycling is perfect with plenty of quite country roads so it was a great location for us and our two dogs to unwind. we will be visiting again.....
