Lovely site but........

This is a lovely site, in a great location and with very friendly and helpful wardens. Facilities are spotless apart from how other caravanners sometimes leave them.  One of the wardens gave us some great info on a local dog friendly beach but it's a shame that this isn't more advertised. The beach is well worth a visit and apparently the beach hut cafe is very good for sandwiches and cakes! Lovely walks around the New Forest and in particular the one from Puttles Bridge - especially if your dog likes water! The only reason we did not give the highest mark for overall rating is, as another reviewer commented on, the way grass pitches are squeezed between hardstandings. At another CC Club site we were told that the way we pitch and park gives the safety distances in case of fire etc. This didn't seem to apply on this site - come on Caravan Club - you have many rules that we accept and adhere to so why do they appear to be broken here??

Superb Site

Great site handy for New Forest and Dorset. Wardens friendly and very helpful. The facilities are excellent and kept spotlessly clean (pity some of our fellow caravanners are sometimes less than considerate when leaving them). I would unreservedly recommend this site.

Camping heaven

The Staff set the tone for this site. They are not only helpful but dedicated to ensuring all Campers have a great experience. We had a Family crisis whilst away and the Staff were helpful and checked progress over the period we were on site.Cleaning times for showers etc are the best ever(early afternoon) NOT at 10.30 or 11.0am to suit the Staff.Whole site was exceptional and cleanest toilets ever. The Staff here set the standard that others should follow. I hope there expertise is recognised. Thank you for a great stay. "We will return"!!!

Good site,good location

A nice clean well maintained site but the site plan on the website is a little deceptive as it dosn't show grass pitches, some rather squeezed in between hard standings. That said we like the site and the area enough to have stayed several times and willcertainly return. Very friendly cheerful wardens. Although there are plenty of very clear speed signs a number of drivers far exceed the 5mph which is inconsiderate as there are often children riding round on bikes.

Fantastic Week

Spent last week here first time on this site in approximately 35 years (wasn't Caravan Club then). I took my elderly mother who has friends in nearby Barton on Sea. The Wardens allocated us a pitch near to the toilets which was ideal. Everything was spotless. Wardens helpful and shop well stocked. Good eating places 2.5 to 3 miles away. My favourite being the Cat and the Fiddle on the A35 brings back lots of childhood memories and now takes dogs in the bar. I will be back with my husband and the hounds. It is a wonderful location and so many places to visit.

One night stay

We booked this campsite two hours before we arrived as a spur of the moment trip. We certainly were not disappointed. We arrived just after hours and were met by one of the friendly park wardens who explained where to park etc and let us through barrier. The site is very clean and tidy and well maintained. Would definitely come here again. Only down point was the cattle grid noise on road but we know that now and will avoid

Good club site

Good clean site with very friendly and helpful wardens. After travelling over 4hrs and arriving very early i was very pleased we were allowed to book in due to the site being only around half full which I think all club sites should do! Location is excellent for walking and cycling also not having to travel far for dorsets beaches, my only gripe would be that I thought the pitches were quite close together in comparison to most other club sites.

Great place to stay

We have stayed here once before and enjoyed our stay and we were not disappointed this time around.  There are plenty of pitches available, both hard standing and grass, and they are well spaced apart.  The facilities are great and it was good to see that they closed them for cleaning in the afternoon which allowed us to have a lie in and still get a shower before mid-day.  Despite the site being fully booked for quite a few days the facilities coped admirably, just a pity that some members were far from tidy and clean resulting in rubbish being left in the cubicles and some showers and toilets being left in a dirty condition. The location is excellent for site seeing and the New Forest was great to cycle and walk through; recharging of batteries time.  The local towns provided us with plenty of opportunity to discovery new sights and sounds. The wardens were very jolly and helpful, providing a good selection of goods that were reasonably priced. The only negatives were that the internet connection was extremely slow and very frustrating, there is almost no mobile phone signal at the site and the nearby road has a cattle grid which resulted in a loud and annoying noise overtime a car passed over it; we will make sure that we pick a pitch further into the site next time to reduce this annoying noise. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to come back again.

Loved this place

My wife and I enjoyed a lovely week stay on this perfect site. It is a very large site but very effectively managed by the warden team. Inside and outside the site is immaculate and the wardens were helpful, friendly and did everything with a smile and good sense of humour. It is close to many places worth a visit such as Southampton, Winchester, Bournemouth, the South Coast and of course the very special New Forest itself. Bransgore is delightful. So thank you all - we will return.
