Pretty site in an excellent location.

Excellent location, with an easy, level, 10 minute stroll into a typical Cotswold town. There, you will find plenty of nice pubs and tea shops to eat in, and lots of independent shops selling local produce, clothing and antiques. There is also a small Tesco, a Co-op, and a large Budgens supermarket. The station is in the centre of the town and trains run to Oxford every 45 mins or so....a journey of 35 minutes, costing about a tenner return. The site is fairly quiet, with a little bit of road noise which didn't bother us at all. NIce level sites and good, clean facilities. Nice little site shop with freshly baked goods every morning. The wardens are really helpful and friendly and keep the site beautifully....there is even a herb garden for customers' use. We will certainly return.

Recommended site

Many good reasons to use this site when visiting The Cotswolds. It is a short walk into the picturesque town with its local shops and a good supermarket. The train station is also near the site with trains to Worcester or Oxford. Even by Club standards, the facilities were amazingly clean well maintained. Local bakery produce on sale at the site office, including hot croissants. Our main interest is cycling and the area has few off road routes and a lot of ferocious climbs so not the best option for cycling. Otherwise, the site is thoroughly recommended.

1st time at this site

We usually spend a week at the Broadway site and visit Morton in Marsh but having changed from a caravan to motorhome we thought we'd split our week between the two. The wardens are lovely and can't do enough to help. The facilities are well used but the wardens work hard to keep them spotless. It's a pity that some members don't respect the wardens and fellow members enough to make sure the facilities are clean and tidy before they leave. The site is perfect for walking into he village and we found a lovely walk through fields to Batsford Aboretum. Most places are dog friendly which makes for a really enjoyable break particularly this time of year. The only downside for us was the size of the pitches and the dirt that trailed everywhere even after a small amount of rain. Many of the hardstandings are sparcely covered, due mainly we assume to the heavy use of the site. Grass is damaged as very often you cannot avoid driving over edges when hitching and unhitching. We can see why the site is so popular, particularly with the older members, due to its location, and in fact there did seem to be quite a few members who knew each other. But for us the tidiness of Broadway would probably mean we would visit Moreton rather than stay.

Moreton Stay

Had a good week here, the area is wonderful. However, it is a while since we stayed here and now have a larger caravan and despite only using a small Porch awning we found the pitches to be very small. We overhung the caravan at the back of the pitch but still struggled to park the car in front of the 'van' due to the narrowness and trying to avoid the grass, which was churning up due to some heavy downpours. We were not the only ones struggling to park. Perhaps it would be worth considering enlarging some of the pitches during the Winter period, as the site is open all year.

1st Cotswold visit With Motorhome

Only had a few days at Moreton-in-Marsh due to circumstances. Made very welcome when I arrived on Wednesday instead of Monday. A nice easy walk into Moreton caught the train to Worcester the Cathedral is definitely worth a visit. The Arboretum & Falconry centre are about a 45 minute walk from the site. The on site facilities were spotless the whole site well maintained. I was a little apprehensive about parking my motorhome (being by myself) but felt a great sense of achievement once parked. Looking forward to visiting again.

Convenient site

A really friendly welcome from wardens who work hard keeping this site well kept for us members. The toilets were kept immaculate and nice and warm. The reception also has a good stock of essentials as well as cakes and fresh baked baguettes & cuosants It's convenient for either a 10 min walk into Moreton or a short drive to one of the many Cotswold towns.
