Return Visit to Morton in Marsh

This is a campsite we have used on numerous occasions, principally because it’s only 50 miles from where we live. With a motorhome it's handy because it’s only a short walk into the town with all its many facilities for shopping and eating . This was our first trip out this year and we managed to book only about a week before arrival. There was a pleasant and jolly welcome from the wardens. It is a big site and the vast majority of the pitches are on hardstandings. Many of the pitches seem narrower than we are used to on Club sites, fine for us but caravanners have to park their cars across the pitch. There are two toilet blocks which are up to the usual standards. Electric bollards also have TV hook-ups, you need to provide your own cable or purchase one from reception. The site does have WiFi but I found the quality of it very variable no doubt because of the numbers on site but it can, none the less, be quite frustrating. Given that this site is very popular with motorhomers it was disappointing that neither of the two motorhome service points have yet been converted to the new open drains and we are stuck for the time being with having to lift heavy drain covers. One of the big changes from our last visit has been the rebrand. I have no issues with the name change but I do question whether the new colours enhance the brand?

Fantastic first stay, thanks

Brilliant visit. Great site, great facilities and great staff. Don't what else to say what is not already been said before? Ogh Pizza is Tuesdays and Fridays and they are brilliant. Will be coming back soon for sure. Thanks for a great visit - as this was our first caravan holiday it made it very special.

First visit, definitely not our last!

This was just a two night stay to take our grandchildren, aged 8 and 10, visiting from Australia, and our 2 Westies, away in our newly-acquired van. The site was lovely, with lots of choice of great pitches. The toilets/showers were spotless with lots of space, the playground and dog walking area were well looked after, as were the rest of the grounds and all the staff were friendly, helpful and cheerful. My one reservation is the site's proximity to the road, which is quite busy, especially on Tuesday, market day, one of our days on site. Other than that minor drawback, this is a wonderful site with great facilities, close to the town, which, even with 2 young grandchildren and 2 small dogs in tow, is less than a 5 minute walk away. Not sure which way a previous reviewer went if it took them 10 minutes.

Great site

Great site. Highest of standards. Love the little touches. Ordering a paper. Being able to purchase rolls, cakes and odds and ends for the caravan. Love the smiles and friendliness. Location is ideal. Will visit here three times this year. My favourite of all sites . But I am biased. Bangladesh restaurant in Moreton fab, Tesco vouchers for Ask, Market on a Tuesday great. F&C van on site twice a week and a Pizza van on site on specific days.

Close to town

What a great site. The site firstly is normal club standard with friendly wardens. The town is approx 10 min walk from site with Tesco express and Co -op and a Budgens. There are a handful of good pubs all serving food. We would recommend the Inn on the Marsh which doesn't look much from the outside but the food and service certainly make up for it. The site is within walking distance to Batsford Arboretum and the Falconary centre along with other local walks from the site. We will definitely be back in future.

Lovely Site

A warm welcome when you check in, well stocked shop on site. All facilities are very clean and well maintained, very friendly wardens who clearly enjoy their work. A short stroll to the shops, cafes and pubs. Weekly market is held weekly. Will definitely return to this site.

Lovely site with friendly wardens. Very well stocked shop. Pizza on site twice a week is a nice touch and they were beautiful. Good dog walk. Nice clean modern toilet/shower block. Bus stop to Stratford outside front gates. Would definitely return.

Relaxing, hassle-free stay

Once again we had the good fortune to encounter Bev and Simon Hartshorn, the wardens whom we'd previously met at Cheddar Site. They really are superb; nothing phases them and they and their staff are always happy, cheerful and helpful. The facilities cannot be bettered and the site's proximity to Moreton-in-Marsh adds to the whole experience. All in all, this is what I would consider should be a flagship site for the C&MH Club.
