Fantastic Site

We,ve just returned from Moreton in Marsh club site. We stayed for two nights which was our first time we,ve stayed here. This is a fantastic site, very close to the lovely village of Moreton. The pitches are kept very clean and tidy, the toilets and washrooms are very clean and cleaned daily. The staff are very helpful and friendly.

Great location

We've just returned from a 5 night stay at Moreton in marsh club site. Our first visit and we'll definitely return. Travelling from the west it's very straightforward to locate the site and access from the main road is good. The wardens were friendly and super helpful. It's a fair sized site with sunny and shaded areas with most pitches having a decent amount of grass to sit out on. Facilities were spotless every day of our visit. The site did busy up on the Friday and a bit of a queue for the showers/toilets developed. Monday to Friday it was fine though. The site is ideally located close to the town (10 mins level walk). Moreton has a decent selection of shops, tea/coffee shops and pubs. It also has a small supermarket ( budgens) and a small street market on Tuesdays. Several Cotswold towns and villages are within easy striking distance. The main road running alongside the site is quite busy and can be heard during the day but we found the night time very peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and can see why it's so popular.

Another great stay

There isn't anything to say that hasn't been said before. Great location, friendly and helpful wardens and excellent facilities. Throw in some good weather like we have just had and you can't help but enjoy this site. The walk to Batsford Arboretum is very pleasant and the arboretum itself is lovely. We will be returning in a few months!

exceptional

Moreton in marsh site is lovely. Plenty of space around the pitches. All the facilities are very good and clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. Close to the lovely town with plenty of pubs and eaterys and a great market on a tues. The bus services to Stratford upon avon and Cheltenham with Bourton on the water and Broadway enroute is quite good mon-sat, no sunday services. Take a short walk to the fosseway garden centre on sunday for a superb roast dinner in Timothys restaurant. All in all the stay on the Moreton site was great for us as we usually go to coastal areas and this area is unexplainably beautiful .

Faultless

Great site in an ideal location - easy walking distance to Moreton in Marsh. Very attractive setting with lots if trees and level pitches. Helpful and friendly site wardens. Ideal for families with good play area. A nice touch was the mobile wood fired pizza oven twice weekly. Overall a faultless site well worth visiting and returning to.

Good location

Great location for the market town, easy walking distance with a good variety of shops. Great tea rooms can thoroughly recommend Tilly's which was dog friendly and food was excellent. Great location if you have a dog as very dog friendly. Easy distance to other villages Stow on the Wold and Bourton. Great swimming pool at the fire services training facilities which is open to public at set times. Another great caravan club site, wardens friendly and very helpful. Thanks for a great week.

An unexpected surprise

It was our first visit to this site and I was apprehensive despite all the brilliant reviews as we tend to go to Adult Only sites unless family over from Norway. Everything that has been said is true. Every member of staff is welcoming, happy, full of fun and do a great job.The site is larger than we normally use but so well designed. We found a lovely quiet corner in what apparently is the older part of the site and it was all adults. Perhaps they should think to make this an adult only area as a couple of other clubs do. We shall certainly go back with our granddaughter at some point as the area for children was one of the best I have ever seen. Hubby & I played Crazy Golf and laughed all the way round. The pitches are level and a nice size for our little van.Icing on the cake was being able to walk into Moreton-on-Marsh in which I found a lovely make their own sweet shop...Sweets etc. Some lovely quirky shops and very friendly people. The fish and chip van came Saturday night and as Star Trek fans we loved it as it was called Star Chip Enterprise which was reflected in its paint job. Well done those people! Yes we would go back there just the two of us as it was a lovey place. One of only 2 sites that are not adult only we would go to without our granddaughter. There was some road noise but not too bad and it was drowned out by the bird song. Thank you to the lovely staff you are a credit to the CMC.

Unexpected stay

We turned up at the site on Tuesday as had been recommended to visit following a stay at Bourton-on-the Water, the warden who greeted us was very friendly and it was absolutely no problem that we had arrived on spec, they very happily confirmed they had plenty of room to accommodate us and showed us a selection of pitches we could choose from. The walk to the town centre takes approx 10 minutes and there are plenty of good places to eat/drink. There is a market on a Tuesday and we had a great time browsing the various stalls. Would definitely go back as there is a bus stop right outside the site so you can easily visit other places. Wish we could have stayed longer in the Cotswolds as so many things to do and see.

A sense of humour

I booked some time ago for three nights at the end of March, but last Monday we decided that the weather forecast looked just too good from the Thursday onwards. I phoned the site and told them I am considering coming a day early, and was told that Thursday would be a better day to arrive anyway, as there would be a better choice of pitches. I was told no problem and I could call anytime to add the extra day. In the end, we just did it, and when we arrived, no problem at all. Location is perfect for a Cotswold weekend, with something to do every day for weeks, there is always the excuse to return. Seems we have done that a few times, and still not done all we want to. The only down side for me is that there are quite a few dog owners there, but most are well behaved, and the dogs seem quiet enough too. There is a dedicated field for them, as there is for the Toddlers too, so everyone should be happy there. The staff are all fitted with an individual company approved sense of humour, and do their best to ensure you will have everything you need for a pleasant stay. We had a fortunate weather break for five days, so Awning up, use and down were all conducted in the dry. That was pretty amazing for the last week of March. Disappointingly the clocks were changed to BST, so we lost an hour... On the positive side, they let us leave a couple of hours later when we departed. that allowed one last trip up to Evesham. If I can make just one suggestion, it would be the Internet access. It needs to be free, and at least usable for the new TV access portals (sky box-sets, Now TV, Freesat etc). I write as part of my penance, and it would be great to access my work from the site, however, the peace and quiet makes up for all the excuses for not getting work done, and not publishing the web site on time. Return? Of course, but there are other stops in my calendar too. Autumn sounds good, and having done that before, can vouch for the benefits of a hard-standing. Book it if you must, but please leave me a space for when I want to go there...

Pleasure to stay there

We received an excellent welcome from the warden on the desk, which is sometimes missing on other sites. The site and facilities were always kept at a very high standard by the cheerful wardens. As the buses stop just outside this makes a great touring site. The local town is well worth a visit too. There is a garden centre in walking distance along the Stow road. Well recommended for its cafe and delicious food. Would definitely go back to the caravan site again. Well done to all the wardens for making our stay a pleasurable one.
