This was our first visit to a caravan & motorhome site as fairly new members. It was super. Friendly welcome on arrival. Lovely to be able to choose our own pitch. Site was near to the town and we managed to do some lovely walks right from the site. Thank you to the team for all their hard work in keeping the site tidy, clean and welcoming. We will certainly be returning.
Mortonin Marsh is ideally situated for visiting the iconic villages, Morton in Water, Broadway etc. It is also ideally situated for visiting lots of National Trust places and the White Horse as well as Stratford on Avon.
Our pitch was perfect, a corner slot with plenty of space and lovely neighbours which changed nearly ever day such is the popularity of this site. Good sized dog walk where you could let dogs off lead all fenced in and safe
We only had one bad night and that was when the rain came down heavily and we had stupidly parked the caravan under the trees. Note to self when parking up next time, check overhead first. Staff were great, the site immaculate. Will definately be going again next year as we did not get to visit all the places we wanted to.
The Site is perfectly placed for both the town, and Batsford Arboretum. Like all C&M Sites, it was beautifully kept by very friendly hosts. They were over-keen on using their noisy machinery! Like a previous reviewer, we had a hard time driving out of the site and went at least twice round before finding the entrance.
We ate at ASK Italian and had a fabulous meal with a 20% discount for being Members, but the two Pizzas from the visiting Oven were seriously undercooked. They did cater for GF though.
The dog walk and playground were excellent, and we were only sorry we didn't have time for Crazy Golf.
If you want to walk to the Arboretum, take the footpath from the town, rather than walk along the road, as it is half the distance!

A lovely site with brilliant staff. Just let down on two things:
1 Confusing signing of the roads particularly the junction on the back way near the play area. The arrow show to go right but to get out you need to go straight on.
2 We were on pitch 116 very close to the main road outside which had significant traffic at all times.
Otherwise a very enjoyable stay.
This was the first time to Moreton in marsh C&M club, on arrival the wardens where all friendly and provided good site information
The site is big and split into two defined areas we chose to go to the left not far from the wash facilities our van backed on to the pathway which leads back to the main entrance
All the pitches are hard standing and all looked flat enough, our pitch was narrow even for the van it would not have accommodated our awning if we had stayed long enough to erect
A short stroll from the site is the pretty town of Moreton with plenty of boutique shops, tea shops and public houses to keep you occupied for the day
A few negatives did annoy us
1. Members not observing the speed limit was a big concern this was both van and car drivers
2. Noise from the main road could be heard all night (not the sites fault, but should be a consideration when selecting your pitch)
Worst of all
3. Member not respecting others pitch area, we had people walk right past the van window, we got so annoyed we put the wind break up to try and force people to keep to the road/pathway
Overall our stay was very nice and the negatives will not stop us from coming to this site again (which we have already booked)
What a great stay, all the staff were happy and friendly. site was clean and tidy, everything you would expect from the club. A short walk into the town (15 min) gave us an abundance of places to eat out....Catch the bus to Stowe on the Wold and Bourton-On-The-Water we spent no more than £12 on bus fares. Alfresco Pizza Tuesdays and Fridays not forgetting Fish and Chips on Saturday evening. Fantastic!!
Been here a number of times now and always a good experience. On this occasion though I have a couple of criticisms. We were not made aware that local restaurant Ask Italia which we visit every time we come here offers our members 20% discount and has done for over 8 years! By chance the restaurant told us on this occasion and we saved £12 on our bill. This is our favourite eatery in the town.
The cleaning equipment in use by wardens on site was very noisy, and seemed to be in operation for long periods.
That said, we had a lovely weekend, visited the beer festival and watched the tour of Britain cycle race pass through.
Toilet block was new and pristine as always.
Stayed here for a one night stopover. Excellent site. Lots of places to eat in Morton in Marsh in addition to a local Tesco Express and Co Op Supermarket..
Try the Indian Restaurant at the top end of the High Street, absolutely brilliant with a diverse menu. Train station in Morton in Marsh is good for trains to London etc and good bus service to Stratford upon Avon.
Petrol stations either side of Morton in Marsh and large enough for caravan outfits and Motorhomes.
