A great stay

We stayed at this site for three nights from the 31 August 2017. What a fantastic place this is, with easy access to the the delights of Morton in the Marsh, including Tilly's Tea shop where I had the best quality and tasting egg mayo sandwich ever and the Spice Room on Friday evening providing exciting cuisine and excellent service. The site has everything you need and expect from the club with helpful staff and clean facilities. Saturday brought the delights of Morton show with huge amount of displays and effort put in by lots of people making it a really enjoyable event. So thank you all for a fantastic weekend, We will certainly be back....and soon. Andy and Ju.

An excellent site

We booked our 3 night stay at this site as a stop over before home following 10 days in Cornwall. It is obviously a popular site as there were only 3 pitches to choose from. All the staff we dealt with or spoke to were fabulous and very welcoming. The dog walk is one of the best we have used and Jack and Bo our 2 rescue springer spaniels were delighted with the big open space to run round in and meet fellow dog campers. All the facilities were very clean and modern We look forward to our stay next year

Lovely Cotswold position, but...

First visit just an overnight journey break so thought we would have a look. Beautiful location for the village, and probably tranquil site out of season. We managed time to walk into Moreton, ideallic. Pitches very cramped even for single axles. Many pitches half barriered off presumably due to fire regs distances. No TV as our post only had 2 sockets for 3 pitches! So £32 in our view, not good value. Spend some of this income on improvements? Take a few pitches out?

Enjoyable family stay

We stayed in July 2018 for over a week. The play area was one of the best we had come across on the sites we have visited which was great for 2 boys! Lots of dogs on site which the boys enjoyed too. Friendly wardens and clean site. The pitches are narrow meaning you have to park your car in front of caravan but it didn't feel too squashed, The location was fab, 5 minute walk into a pretty town with super shops and eating places and lots to do within a drive, we did not take advantage of the bus/train links but all within walking distance.

Great site but

This site has all the usual club site high standards and a big plus point is that the site is within a short walk of Moreton-in-Marsh ( although along a busy main road but with a reasonable footpath alongside it ). The dog walk is also superb - a large field where dogs can meet and have a good run round. However, a frustrating disappointment is that a glorious off-road walk which passes just outside the site can only be reached by walking for 10 to 15 minutes along the busy A44 road into Moreton-in-Marsh, around the edge of the village and then along a path just to get to the point outside the site. Oh for a gate so that you could walk out of the site and onto the path without having to make such a roundabout detour !

Lovely weekend getaway

We have been to this site three times and what draws us back for short breaks is location to the town, it's a short walk into the town centre. Interesting shops, pubs, restaurants tea rooms. On the site the staff are very friendly and helpful the facilities are very clean and Maintained. There is a good sized exercise area for dogs and ( although we don't have children) the play area is great and it has a mini golf and football pitch in the far field There is a bus stop right outside the site to explore the near by village should you want to. We will no doubt come again

Good site, excellent hard working wardens

This was our first visit to this site and we were very impressed, although I have to agree with a previous review that some parts of the site look particularly crowded. We were in one of the perimeter pitches which didn't feel so crowded, but it backed on to a busy main road so there was quite a lot of traffic noise. We were also facing a family of three very loud scooter riding kids, despite us choosing to holiday before the schools broke up. Having said that, the traffic was not a problem at night and the kids went to bed reasonably early, so neither issue caused us to change pitch. Some very positive points about the wardens, they keep the office open from 8.30 until the evening, I think it was 19.30. They also clean the showers in the early afternoon which is much better than most sites when it is done in the morning. It's an easy stroll into the village, lots of hotels and a couple of tearooms, charity shops, and an over-priced cheese shop. Quite a big market on Tuesday. Excellent dog walk on site, plus a boules pitch, crazy golf and a small football pitch, all tucked away so they don't cause a nuisance. Wifi was rubbish, we gave up and used the 4g on our phones.

More Space Please

The site and facilities were fine and very much upto Caravan Club standards but when planning the pitches I do believe the Club tried to cram too many into the available area - proximity of one pitch to another left the distinct feeling of being shoe horned in - so more space please!

Well placed site

We chose this site as we were attending a wedding nearby. It is well placed for visiting Moreton in Marsh by foot and if you have a car the other popular Cotswold towns. We walked 12 mile round trip cross country to Chastleton & it's excellent National Trust Jacobean house. The site is near a main road so there is some traffic noise but it wasn't a problem at night. Usual excellent standard of facilities & friendly staff. Quite a small site so you are very close to neighbours but still quiet when it needs to be. We didn't have children or dogs with us so cannot comment on facilities for them.

Frequent Visitors

We regularly visit this site due to being able to get there before 8 after work on a Friday and we like the surrounding areas. Not far away from Bourton on the Water and Stow, and only 5 minute stroll from Moreton. Great wardens and facilities. Looking forward to returning again soon.
