Excellent Club Site

Don’t very often stay on club sites as we tend to frequent CLs. However, this has opened my eyes, and certainly for autumn and winter caravanning club sites are a fantastic solution and better than putting the van into store. The site and facilities were kept spotlessly clean by the wardens who do a fantastic job. This site is within a short walk of pubs, shops and restaurants and is in an excellent location for visiting attractions and sites in the local area. We went to the Caravan Show at the NEC which was just an hour away. Perfect.

Best staff ever

I met six staff on our three night October trip. The site was full but you wouldn't have really guessed. I really can't think how you could improve the staff work rate and helpfulness. They always seemed to have time for a cheery word and a chat. I have spent over 500 nights away in our van but I've never been in a place with such a lovely atmosphere. Moreton in Marsh is great for a short break. It's no wonder this place is popular. Pete

Just the place for an autumn break

This was a return visit to this wonderful site , everything about it is great for all visitors the warden's are all hard working & a great asset to the club, the shower block was first class as usual for the club with only one draw back this being that some visitors to the shower leaving talcum powder all over the floor in both the male & female showers leaving it to someone else to clean up of which was unfair for others useing the facilities but maybe if there was still the mop & bucket this may not have be the case. Overall another pleasant week with plenty to do around the area will definitely be making a return visit it is also ideal for dogs with a great area to exercise them. Many thanks Magmar

Excellent week break in the Cotswolds

Arrived late on a Saturday & only limited pitches available. However, site staff were really helpful to point out the best one to accommodate large motorhome & drive-away awning (close to the large well kept field that's used as a dog walk, which was a bonus). Enjoyed some lovely mild October weather & everyone on site (staff & other guests) was really friendly. Great days out with the dog to the local market (on a Tuesday) Cotswold Water Park, Blenheim Palace, the Cotswold Wildlife Park & a couple of very pleasant walks out to the local arboretum (which serves great cakes!). Overall very relaxing....but with plenty of exercise. Dog loved it. Thank you.

Excellent stay in Moreton

Recently stayed on this site for 8 nights. Got an excellent pitch away from the trees (which we prefer) and near all facilities which I always found spotless. Wardens work extremely hard (they enjoy their job) and could not have been nicer. Thank you, we will be back.

Nice but noisy

Excellent site, some noise from the road, but what can you expect given the geography? We stayed for three nights and the grass was being cut and the leaves vacuumed/blown every day for extended periods - marred the stay. Didn't speak to the wardens about it, but was flummoxed to understand why the lawnmower needed to come out every day (OK, I can maybe understand a daily blast on the leave sucker at this time of year). Otherwise great site, great location, good facilities kept clean.

Nice site but too many, rules, machines &a wardens

Nice site but too much emphasis on rules, constant noisy machines and wardens ( with ear defenders ) which we didn't have. It is quieter at home. Hand drier in male toilets not working for most of our stay we go on holiday for peace without feeling scrutinised constantly - this was not typical of our usual club experience.

Moreton in Marsh weekend

Just had a very enjoyable stay here, arrived Friday evening which we normally do, as always the site was full so only 5 pitches to choose from, pitched against the main road which can be noisy although I never hear it at night. Toilets at the end we were pitched are closed for cleaning for 2 hours 10am - 12 noon which seems a long time, there are service toilets available but if you want to shower you need to go to the other block which is at the other end of the site. Sunday morning we were surprised to hear the lawn mower and leaf blower running before 10am I thought I had seen an article in the magazine saying this would not happen before 10am, appreciate these jobs have to be done but why say it then not do it? Moreton in Marsh is a lovely little town with a nice range of shops, cafes and pubs most being dog friendly it is a good place to visit whatever the weather. We will be back in a few weeks

Quiet lovely site

We spent 2 nights early October and visited the market on Tuesday. Great for cycling and walking, lots of places to eat in the village. Visited the local rollright stones a few miles away. Want to go back again. Wardens very friendly and helpful.

Moreton in Marsh Review

I first went to Moreton in Marsh 12 years ago and it was early Spring. We stayed for 3 enjoyable nights and during that time, a bird had started nesting on the top of the motorhome front tyre. It was a shame to remove it and I would have been quite happy to stay until the chicks had fledged - but I couldn't get that much time off work! The site is lovely, lots of well established trees so you may get pelted with Acorns in Autumn so choose your pitch carefully. Site wardens are great and nothing is too much trouble. Toilet blocks are spotless and the grounds well kept. Within walking distance of the town, its got everything for me.
