This site is ideal for us to take short breaks as it is not too far to travel, we were here for 3-nights. The site is easily accessible if travelling from Evesham, Stowe or Stratford; no narrow windy lanes. The on site facililities are good and the site is well maintained. Plenty of places to visit around and about if driving but also a few circular walks from the site. We chose to walk to Blockley for lunch, skirting around the edge of Batsford Arboretum and return a different route. An enjoyable walk on a very cold and frosty day.
Next day was an easy drive to Stow in the Wold. The town has limited parking and narrow streets so we suggest if you visit that you use the free town carpark alongside the out of town Tesco store; just a short walk from the town centre. Moreton in Marsh is an easy level stroll from the site, either for shopping or an evening meal or just a drink. Several choices are available. Having visited several times previously we will be back.
Busy three days
We have stayed here on this site before in the summer months and on the newer part of the site , this time we wanted an Autumn break to catch up with family who also have a caravan . We arrived mid week and were told only one toilet block open in older part of site for showers so stayed in this part, due to recent rain it was very muddy and pitches covered in leaves due to the leaf blowers being out of action, warden was very helpful but site did look very messy. The pitches are tight on this site if you choose to take an awning and you end up parking in front of your van, however that said, shower blocks were spotless and toasty warm. We made the most of catching up with family and ventured into Oxford on the train which is only 15 min walk from site and really easy to do, return prices are good and even better if 4 of you travel as a group. Oxford day out thoroughly recommended. We also visited the Moreton Christmas market and the many independent shops, there are many great places to eat but you must try the fish and chip shop in the main Street, we didn't use the car at all during our stay and found lots to do within walking distance, getting away out of the summer season has many advantages and we will be doing this site again next year.
Excellent weekend break
This is a lovely site for a few days break, with just a short walk into the town of Moreton-in -Marsh where you can find everything you might need. While we where there the Christmas market was on. The atmosphere was lovely, very festive, and everyone was friendly and happy. Because the town was so busy it was very good to be able to take advantage of the mobile fish and chip van at the site, most welcome. We will definitely be back next year.
Internet woes
Somewhat disappointed with internet performance as site claims gold status. Varied from OK thru barely functioning to unable to load anything. Site was only half full so should not be as a result of unserviceable demand.
Was at Sea Croft Cromer in September also a gold site for internet where it was if anything worse than Moreton. Site was however 90%+ full.
These issues apart site is lovely but I would want to be away from the road contiguous with the site as I was aware of traffic noise in this area.
Top rated site
This is a lovely site, perfectly sited for a weekend away. Loads of walking in the vicinity, a short walk inot the local town which has a full range of pubs/mini markets and shops to browse. The road through the town to the site can get very congested due to traffic parking on the street (something for the local council to fix!) but beyond that, this site is perfect.
Edwards
This site is beautiful, clean, walking distance from town. Plenty of pubs, shops and restaurants. Lovely walks and cycle routes. Gorgeous dog walking field. Shower block is very clean and we'll maintained.
Cheeky weekend away
According to the club website booking system the site was full last weekend so I called the site and the Lady who answered the phone found a non awning pitch for us. That was all we needed with the motor home. We were pleasantly surprised to find the pitch available was a decent width and the flattest pitch we've ever known so happy days.
We've been here several times and would never tire of the place. The village is a delight with plenty of options to keep you occupied.
The wardens were superb and the weekend thoroughly enjoyed.
One moral from this story is '' don't always believe a site is full even though it says so on the website''
Good site but narrow pitches
Excellent location, a short walk from Moreton, which is a busy village with several pubs and restaurants. There are walks and cycle rides from the site to more pretty villages. Our main criticism is that the pitches are not wide enough to fit a car, caravan and even a small porch awning side by side. The pitch wasn't deep enough to park without putting part of our car on the narrow road, so we had couldn't put up our awning. It seems as if the Club is hoping we'll all buy motorhomes so that we don't have this problem!
We do think that there should be wider pitches and what about super pitches? Nevertheless this is such a popular site, isn't it worth improving?

Lovely Site in nice location
We have been to this site before and it has always been a nice site, well run and clean and convenient for Moreton in the Marsh,a short walk away, nice shops and tea rooms.
The reason we chose to stay their was Batsford Arboretum about a mile away, you can even walk if you feel energetic, went for the autumn colour, well worth it, the trees were beautiful in the November sunlight, only downside is, it can get a bit noisy if you pitch next to the road, there can be at time a few HGV`s trundling passed so just be aware.
