Nice site needs TLC.

Ideally located within walking distance of Moreton. Pitches are small with no room for your car if you put an awning up and your car has to go in front of your caravan making it look like a car park. Hard standing pitches are tired with grass and weeds encroaching on to them. Toilet facilities are dated but were kept clean. This site has glamping pods and the noise coming from them quite late at night from a large party sitting out with music blasting out made it feel like a Haven site. Although several caravanners complained it appeared these were not taken seriously. Obviously the pods make the club more money!! Stay away from the pitches near the pods.

Handy little site right outside the town

Great little site just minutes away from Moreton in marsh where you can easily walk to pubs restaurants and shops. Good facilities, even TV aerial connection. I enjoyed our stay here and will use again. Look out for the rabbits! Pitch site was ideal for our VW transporter.

Excellent location but our least favourite club site visited.

We stayed on this site for 4 nights (21/08/19 to 25/01/19). The site is in close walking distance to the lovely town of Moreton-in-Marsh which offers some nice shops and loads of pubs / eatery's. It's also a short drive to other surrounding town's including Broadway which was beautiful, Stow-on-the-Wold and Bourton-on-the-water. Out of all the club sites we've stayed on however, this was our least favourite. The site felt very over-crowded. It does seem as though the ultimate goal to the site developer was to get as many pitches on the site as possible. We had a hard-standing pitch with awning and struggled to park our car adjacent our caravan. We ended up having to park in front of our pitch against the road, as did a lot of the pitches. This resulted in little space to sit out on what was a glorious sunny period. As we walked around the site, some pitches were more spacious than others, but generally the site lacks space. There were even grass pitches wedged in behind hard standing pitches to make use of every inch of space. We did stay over over the bank holiday weekend and the site was full come the weekend. Not that this was particularly an issue to us as club site are often full over weekends and despite being full there was little noise from guests. Staff friendly, toilet blocks clean so no complaints there. For us it was just the lack of space. We were that close to the neighbouring caravan that we didn't even open our windows on the off side as you felt as though you were looking straight at our neighbours. So overall, not for us, we wouldn't visit again.

Expensive and Not Very Clean AVOID FISH AND CHIPS

We stayed August Bank Holiday so the site was full. The services really were very grubby at times. They need more than one clean a day under pressure. You should not have to search for an acceptable cubicle. As an aside we tried the fish and chips from the on site can. The chips were OK but the fish was old wet and grey. Not at all acceptable. Plus 90 % wet batter. After some grudging comments we got a refund. But the fryer always knows he is serving old fish. This was old.

Its an ok site BUT.....

We booked here as we had to cancel a holiday a few years ago with my parents.First impressions on booking in were good. Then when trying to find a pitch,we realised that uncommon to other sites weve been on,the pitches are smaller than usual resulting in,if you want an awning up,the car has to sit across the front of the unit. Just as well we didnt have a cotswold view as all we could see was our car. A lot of the pitches looked like they needed reworking and tidying up as the grass is encroaching onto the stones. There are Glamping pods on site but it would have been better to have reworked the pitches and put some where the Glamping pods are. It just seemed the pitches were crammed in to get as many customers on/. The facilities are really good.the toilets, although some said were dated were actually pristine-the wardens did a very good job.The whole site is neat and tidy apart from the pitches themselves,I guess the pitches are the responsibility of the club not the wardens. The toilets are cleaned in the afternoon which is MUCH better. All the service points were well maintained. Road noise is still an issue with HGV`s passing in the early morning and at times you hear packs of motorbikes screaming up the road - and you hear them for miles! All in all apart from the pitch issues, its a nice site and easy to walk into Moreton. We are planning to go back in 2020 but having looked at the Broadway site ,we will be staying there instead as its far better laid out.

First Experience

We stayed at Moreton in Marsh site for the weekend, this was our first site experience as we have just brought our first motorhome. We were very impressed with the service and helpfulness of the wardens. The site is lovely, all facilities were very clean and well maintained. We will certainly return to this site.

Cotswolds Site

We booked this site to try after we visited Burford a couple of weeks earlier. I was a little disappointed when comparing it. The pitch was a good size, the electrics were great but the shower block was dated somewhat. The service points were all good and well maintained. The roads surrounding the site were all very busy and some road noise was evident. It’s very close to the little town but the walk was along a busy road. We never got our bikes out once because of the roads. Sorry it’s a little negative!

Three times without power in three days.

Arrived Thursday no power as the rcd breaker had tripped out, power was restored by member is staff no problem, apparently it had tripped out several times for the previous visitors. Woke up on Saturday no power not sure when it went off phoned reception at around 8am was told I would have to wait they don't start till 8.30am, come in Saturday evening 10pm no power again don't no how long it has been off for but won't be using contents of fridge as it all felt too warm, phoned too see if trip could be reset was told it's not an emergency you have gas so can wait till morning, we don't come out in the middle of the night, not everything works off gas or 12v, and 10pm is not exactly the middle of the night oh well I guess you get what you pay for or in this case you don't get what you pay for ie mains electric hook up if I wanted to run on gas and battery I could parked in a lay by, great customer service.

Few mins walk to town

Nice site with lots of areas for just a few vans, not just long lines. Easy few mins walk into the town, but found the choice for eating was all pricey. Had the fish and chips from the van on site and happy with those, not the best and not the worst but very acceptable. Wardens ok but felt that one warden should not have been off cutting grass at 12.00 when 2 were booking in as the queue became very chaotic, so that warden should have been controlling the vans coming in and getting drivers to wait in their vehicles until they could move forward. An indication of where there were pitches available would have been helpful.

Trees

The site is in two parts, the line closest to the road and the part away from the road. If you are near the road you will discover how busy the road is with lorries passing at all times of the day and night. You will also be aware you were under the trees. These are lovely trees. But they not only block out most of the sunlight, but they also cover your vehicle with sap/sticky material. It took some time to clean the van on our return home. Apart from the actual pitch (the last one to right on way to the exit), the location and site are excellent. Although I do think the note on the dog walk sets the wrong tone re the glamping site, where there is an assumption that the bread and butter of the CC members are lesser citizens. I think it may be time to do some tree surgery before it becomes impossible to risk parking under some of the trees for fear of damage caused by sticky substances. However, I do commend the wardens and site for location and friendliness. Well worth a visit.
