We booked this site to try after we visited Burford a couple of weeks earlier. I was a little disappointed when comparing it. The pitch was a good size, the electrics were great but the shower block was dated somewhat. The service points were all good and well maintained. The roads surrounding the site were all very busy and some road noise was evident. It’s very close to the little town but the walk was along a busy road. We never got our bikes out once because of the roads.
Sorry it’s a little negative!
Three times without power in three days.
Arrived Thursday no power as the rcd breaker had tripped out, power was restored by member is staff no problem, apparently it had tripped out several times for the previous visitors. Woke up on Saturday no power not sure when it went off phoned reception at around 8am was told I would have to wait they don't start till 8.30am, come in Saturday evening 10pm no power again don't no how long it has been off for but won't be using contents of fridge as it all felt too warm, phoned too see if trip could be reset was told it's not an emergency you have gas so can wait till morning, we don't come out in the middle of the night, not everything works off gas or 12v, and 10pm is not exactly the middle of the night oh well I guess you get what you pay for or in this case you don't get what you pay for ie mains electric hook up if I wanted to run on gas and battery I could parked in a lay by, great customer service.
Few mins walk to town
Nice site with lots of areas for just a few vans, not just long lines. Easy few mins walk into the town, but found the choice for eating was all pricey. Had the fish and chips from the van on site and happy with those, not the best and not the worst but very acceptable.
Wardens ok but felt that one warden should not have been off cutting grass at 12.00 when 2 were booking in as the queue became very chaotic, so that warden should have been controlling the vans coming in and getting drivers to wait in their vehicles until they could move forward.
An indication of where there were pitches available would have been helpful.

Trees
The site is in two parts, the line closest to the road and the part away from the road. If you are near the road you will discover how busy the road is with lorries passing at all times of the day and night.
You will also be aware you were under the trees. These are lovely trees. But they not only block out most of the sunlight, but they also cover your vehicle with sap/sticky material. It took some time to clean the van on our return home.
Apart from the actual pitch (the last one to right on way to the exit), the location and site are excellent. Although I do think the note on the dog walk sets the wrong tone re the glamping site, where there is an assumption that the bread and butter of the CC members are lesser citizens.
I think it may be time to do some tree surgery before it becomes impossible to risk parking under some of the trees for fear of damage caused by sticky substances.
However, I do commend the wardens and site for location and friendliness. Well worth a visit.
Well done Wardens
Have been to this site on quite a few occasions and in the past have found the birds to be a nuisance if parked under a tree. This time I used a very small butterfly flag on a pole and no poop. The site was extremely busy and I did park by the road which was a tad noisy but blended into the background fairly quickly. The dog walk is brilliant as enclosed and free to run off lead. I was booked in for 3 nights but sadly following a fall on my second day I had to go home early. Huge thanks to the fantastic wardens who took me to the hospital and picked me up and ensured I was OK. A friend and my daughter came to collect me and my caravan and I cannot fault the wardens for their caring attitude.
Dissapointing
Having been seasoned travellers for the past six years with the caravan club we booked again on this site having visited on previous occasions. We encountered this woman behind the counter who appeared to be in charge and were very disappointed to be confronted with her attitude. We requested a move due to the pitch we were on and explained we could not get our new satellite dish working due to all the over grown trees it seemed we were asking the impossible and I heard her say as I was walking out the door I can’t believe this ? Needless to say we will not be back on this site again

First visit here.....
Nice and quite large site, wardens were great and facilities spotless. The site is close to the town centre and there is a super Aldi in easy walking distance.
I was a little concerned at the size of some hardstand's which need some upgrading/attention, for us in our smaller campervan it was no problem but many drove past our neighbouring pitch as it was just big enough to drive onto. Aside of that the site was pleasant and the visiting food vendors were a nice addition should you not want to cook. The only other annoyance was the same as all the site....Speed.... however the only ones speeding that I noticed were the caravanners (sorry not wishing to do an us and them) but the Moho's and Campers were not speeding when I was on site. We don't often come down to the Cotswolds and South West but This and Broadway site are hard to beat, even if you were stopping over for a single night.
Second visit
This site is so well placed for the Cotswolds and particularly its proximity to Moreton-in-Marsh which is within easy level walking distance, the downside to this site is the noisy road and it feels like you are living on a terraced street with the way you have to park your car across the front of your caravan, that aside the site is really nice the wardens nice and friendly
Intro to Cotsolds
Great site for convince to small town. Several hard standing pitches seem small if awning being used. Good dog walking area. Plenty of pigeons and rabbits. Friendly and helpful staff. A little traffic noise re bikers /cars at side of site near road. Keen to go back.

Noisy site all day long.
Nice location close to Morton in Marsh. Shame that’s the wardens ride around all day long on their very noisy tractors. They wear ear defenders for very good reason. These vehicles are very noisy and are running all day long around this site. Why can’t the CC use battery vehicles?
Warden trimming grass for no good reason every day, and after that continually run around the site on these vehicles. Give it a rest, and give us a break. We’re supposed to be on a quiet break. Your having a laugh. Funny when you use private sites you get none of this background noise!
