We have just enjoyed a lovely long weekend stay. As stated site is near road but for us it wasn’t constant noise just white noise which we blanked out. The wardens were friendly and helpful. The children’s play area is nice with the usual swings etc but also crazy golf and pétanque pitch. The facilities were clean at all times despite the site being full. Moreton in marsh is a lovely place and while we were there it hosted a music festival. Roads through are busy but expected due to the area. Lots of places to eat and drink with a Budgens supermarket as well. A site we will visit again as there is lots to see and do.
First site
Our first time to use the site for the club, facilities very good some of the pitches were water logged and as campers have said the road noise is dreadful as we were 20 yards from the road and it was 24 hrs non stop but the town makes up for that lots of nice pubs and shops . We found a place called the Beer cellar and just sat out side drinking real ale (under cover) watching the rain pour down, we took our two dogs and they enjoyed the dog run on site, all in all we just wanted some sunshine.
Looking tired !
We have just returned from a two night break at one of our favourite sites, but not been here for 18 months.
Our overall impression was that the site and particularly the pitches are looking in very poor condition. Our pitch (57) and those around it are all overgrown with weeds and grass and are probably some of the worst we have seen in our time Motorhoming and that includes a number of private sites.
Also the price we paid is beginning to look expensive, like other people have said maybe the money spent on the Pods would be better spent on improving the pitches.

Great site with very helpful staff
We have been to this site many times, it is a short 40 minute journey from home in a location we love. The town is a short walk with many dog friendly pubs and great walks from the site.
We booked a pitch last month to meet up with my parents who were staying in a POD. On arrival we were told we did not have pitch booked and they were fully booked. I showed them my reservation email & only then noticed we had booked the wrong club and site in Moreton Dorset not Moreton in Marsh. We feared we would have to go back home and let our parents down but the site were very helpful, they squeezed us in & we shared heir electric for one night then moved to a proper pitch for the remaining 2 nights. We feel the wardens went above and beyond to help us which reflects the friendly welcoming site it is.
The Pod my parents were in was fantastic, clean and very sell equipped. Its more like your own detached bedsit overlooking the countryside.

Good location but noisy
I really like this site. It is in a great position close to Moreton-in-Marsh and it's an easy walk to get it. The town has a lot to offer for casual dining or drinks plus a few curio shops.
The hardstandings are only 6m wide so with an awning you'll be parked across the front of your unit.. and, as others say, there is a tendency for water to 'pool' during heavy rain on some pitches.
Facilities are good. Clean and airy with plenty of showers. I'd expect that it will need an update in the next few years though but fine for now.
Now to the downside. If you pitch on the A44 side of the site you will get significant traffic noise for about 18 hours per day.. and, in particular, the motorbikes revving up to leave town. These are performance bikes and they are very loud and intrusive. Not the site's fault but something to be aware of
Lovely site
We stayed over the second Bank Holiday when it was very busy but it didn't feel too cramped and the facilities were always of a good standard. We found the staff really helpful, especially as we didn't make it until quite late on the first evening and it was a nice surprise to be able to borrow crazy golf clubs and boules to play for free.
The one downside was the often heard noise of motorbikes accelerating far too fast out of the village. This is not the fault of the site, just poor riding on their part.
Thank you for a lovely weekend.
Beautiful site but with one downfall
We have just returned from a 3 night stay at this site. Well located regarding distance from the town - roughly a flat 1/4 mile walk into the town. The facilities were the usual high standard that we expect for Caravan Club sites and the site is well laid out. The site was very busy, we arrived on a Monday lunchtime and there were about 3 empty pitches, all of which back onto the very busy A44. The incessant noise from lorries and motorbikes on the road 24hours a day was unbelievable. I'm sure if we'd been on a pitch nearer the back of the site it would have been fine, but it is well worth noting that there is a possibility you may be left with one of these pitches before booking.
Such a shame as the site itself is lovely, well laid out and of high standard, but may not be brilliant for families with young children or nervous animals.
Perfect spot
Great location, clean site and town walkable.

May bank holiday
Excellent weekend, site is exceptionally clean, shower and toilet block, fresh modern and clean. Plenty to do in the surrounding area, Moreton town is a 5 min walk away with some nice pubs and an excellent balti. Good play ground for children. Very friendly helpful staff. A very enjoyable weekend with relatives. We will definitely return.
Well ..........
This was my favourite site for the last 3 years ( 7 visits) but its now getting a tad too expensive. You cannot fault the facilities, access and proximity to Moreton. However some pitches hardstanding are worn and "pools" of water can appear within your pitch during heavy rain. So choose well. The users of the new glamping pods with only a few occupied created unwanted excessive noise and the BBQ bonfire one evening around 2200 hrs wasnt welcome and whoever created the flames/smoke was being irresponsible. So steer away from that location if you dont want to be particularly disturbed. Access is great. Obvioulsy during busy periods when full you will end up with not the best pitches. Outside busy periods a really good site. I think during busy periods they could "book" you in using the York Rowntree site method. On arrival if a member take your card on arrival as you drive in, find a pitch and return to advise and pay.
