We stayed for seven nights first week of May. It is a compact site, well organised for it's size. Great location on the edge of Melrose town, with easy walking distance to High Street and attractions. Good dog-walks from site and plenty of off-lead opportunities; whilst the on-site dog-walk catered for the necessities. There are numerous "eateries" within easy distance and many are dog-friendly (check the list in the info office). There is a school adjacent, where play-time can be noisy; the rugby club practice on the adjacent playing field; which can also be noisy - but both are intermittent. The site has all that you need, right on the doorstep - you wouldn't have to drive anywhere ..... unless you choose to! I can recomment the Harmony Garden (free entry, with donations box) and Martin Baird Butchers in Market Square do wonderful steak pies!
Great site
We stayed here for 6 nights on a fully serviced pitch. The site is well cared for with friendly and helpful wardens. Location is excellent with all the local amenities of Melrose on the doorstep. Our only complaint, and it’s a small one, was the number of dogs that were wandering, sometimes running, about not under control or leads. Maybe more signs are needed!
Little gem
This site is a little gem, the staff are friendly and very helpful . Great site to chill out . The pubs in Melrose are dog friendly and the new COOP is excellant.
If you want to get out and about, this is the ideal location
Stayed for a couple of nights whilst out biking and walking in the area. Very close to town which has some nice shops. Tennis courts next to the site, plus a large park for the kids. Those that want a bit of a hike, can highly recommend doing the three hills that over look the site. Takes about 3 hours and some stunning views from the top.
Site was well maintained (like all the sites), everything clean. Perks of being a member, is knowing no matter where you go, you are going to get a warm friendly welcome and some clean facilities to use. Takes the worry out of things.

Enjoyable Stsy
We decided on a trip up to Scotland on the Friday and checked in on Sunday afternoon. Lovely welcome from the relief wardens. Site is close to town so lovely meander to the shops. Co Op at the gate. River walks were very nice and very peaceful. Easy distance to Kelso and Jedburgh great for a wander. Site well maintained and although you are close to the school its not to obtrusive.

Great local goto site for us
It's only 60 miles from our house but could be a million miles away in terms of a relaxing, easy going break. Our stays vary 2 - 5 days and we generally head there 4-5 times a year.
This visit was up to the usual high standard - Relief wardens in the office but a warm welcome as always. Our usual serviced pitch was open so yay - right in there. Facilities warm, clean and usual high standard - never appeared busy despite the weekend being pretty full.
Local amenities and shop in Melrose excellent - Chest Heart and Stroke shop has got to be one of the highest value shops of this kind - all sorts of expensive goodies at low prices. Strangely same could be said of the town whisky shop where I managed to land a very good malt at half of the advertised prices in other shops- result.
Only advice is book early, on rugby weekends Melrose is a busy place and pitches go quick.
Little gem
Lovely little site right on the edge of Melrose town.
The front street has all the shops you’d need, butchers, fishmonger, bakeries, fruit&veg and if you can’t find it there, there’s a coop at the entrance to the site.
There’s lots of walking either along the riverside or up the hills, can’t really go wrong if you visit here ... it’s a great place to explore.
Melrose Gibson - Excellent
Just returned from a week here at Melrose Gibson Park. What an absolute gem of a site. After a 371 mile drive it was so easy to book in and select our pitch. The staff were so helpful and genuine, a rare attribute in many other sectors, thanks. For visiting the Borders and the lovely train trip to Edinburgh, it was ideal. Would we go again? Most certainly, but the only problem is it is too far away from where we live, as it would rank as number one for our choice for a lot more visits, shame. Not a lot for children here, but that suited us.

Excellent site - Faultless
Just returned from 5 days on this lovely site. From the minute we arrived, the booking in and friendliness of the wardens could not have been better. As with previous reviews it is hard to pick fault with anything. Pitches were of a good size - we were on a serviced pitch (No38) with everything to hand and also benefited with a nice dividing hedge to keep the cold wind at bay !!. Toilets and showers were spotless and warden was continually on the go keeping the site in pristine condition. We reported that the light on our power column was not working to reception on the way back from one of the great walks from the site and it was attended to before we got back to our van !!!. We have 2 Golden Retrievers who had a different walk from the site each day - no need to travel anywhere with our car. Melrose has everything you require and some nice eateries with beer gardens when the sun shines. We will definitely return but for a longer stay the next time.
I can't rate this site highly enough. Brilliant
Wow. Location, location location. But so much more. The staff are brilliant, helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The facilities are brilliant. The pitches are a good size and well laid out. The site really is on the edge of the town but when on site you could be anywhere. The walks are amazing and I would recommend the purchase of the local walks book from reception which is so easy to follow. There are superb walks in this book including the Eldon Hills.
The Abbey is well worth a visit. The station Hotel is great for a drink and is dog friendly.
A fabulous site. One on our list to revisit again.
Thank you
