Great site, staff & facilities

This is a great site but very noisey and with little privacy.  Having said this we will return as this site has everything you will need or want for a family. It would be great if the noise reduced before 10pm.

Great site but....

We have just returned from 10 nights on this site. As usual the facilities are top notch and the wardens friendly, helpful and knowledgable. The swimming pool is great as is the park. There was the usual noises from children being children and having fun with their holiday friends, but by 9.30(ish) they were all quiet and no doubt snoring in their beds (mine included). On the downside, the WIFI is non existent (don't bother) and due to there being no walkway through to the toilet block there seemed to be a nasty habit of adults and children alike wandering through pitches taking a short cut (this annoyed me no end) to the point I would strategically place my chairs and the washing line to deter the practice! That said - would we go back - yes!

Brilliant site....too many trees

We had a fantastic fortnight. The site is extremley well presented. Very, very clean and very dog friendly. The site is close to Looe which is a lovely little fishing town with quite a few different activities within an hours drive. ( Camel Creek is great for cheap family days out) This site would get 5 stars except the huge amount of trees which pretty much robbed us of what sunshine we had on our pitch.  We were directly under some very large trees which left our 2 week old caravan looking worn and filthy by the end of the holiday and completley obscured the sun which meant no chilaxing under the sun outside the van. That said....if next year they do some major tree culling, it will be difficult not to go back. 4 out of 5

Wonderful Week Away

The site is perfect for Looe and surrounding areas. Firstly the site wouldn't be so good, if not for the excellent ground staff. The Toilets and shower facilities were top notch and spotlessly clean.  The wifi on my pitch was obsolete but playing cards and board games is actually better than loosing your family to social media. Didn't bother us at all. The site has normal noise levels through the day with the children playing and the evenings are what caravannings about. Bbq's, drinks and good company. We all thoroughly enjoyed the week and definitely will be back.

Great site

A really lovely clean site with very friendly staff. Would just warn people wanting a quiet pitch not to book the serviced pitches as they are near the play park so quite noisy, but otherwise faultless, never seen such clean showers/loos, nothing was too much trouble, they organised us an extra night which was not available upon booking. Even let our naughty children on their tractor. Highly recommend!

Family site not for all

A large sloping site..levelling needed.Generally in 2 sections..grass and gravel. In August it is crowded and noisy, pot luck who your neighbours are.Why do so many people want to move pitch..you may ask.(not from next to me by the way). If you have kids, they will like the pool and crazy golf and tennis, but there is the noise. Dogs are looked after nicely.Wifi is sporadic depends where you are on the site. Also some phone companies signals are rubbish.EE is ok. Looe itself is rammed...the nearby beaches are best described as awful..if you are looking for sand of the golden variety..go to north cornwall. Polperro is pretty. The staff are very helpful, the shop could do with a wider variety of stock though. The facilities are all very clean and well maintained. Because its high season, and busy,i think some of the rules and regulations about noise behaviour etc..tend to be "relaxed".Also its not cheap.

Club need to sort out Wi-Fi

Had a great time at Looe, wardens really friendly and facilities were top notch and clean.  Location was great with loads to do. This was our 4th visit to a club site since we have joined the caravan club and the same bugbears were there:- - if you are advertising wifi and charging for it then it needs to be workable.  We couldn't even connect when underneath a wireless access point and browsing was unusable.  It is simple you need either higher bandwidth internet connections or more access points. - not being able to prebook pitches is silly.  We go with friends and couldn't be next to each other so kids couldn't play outside caravans together Thanks

Fantastic Site and Wardens

The club site at Looe is in a great location, within walking distance of Looe town centre and the beach! The bus stop is right at the site entrance which is also very useful. The warden team at this site are just fantastic. I never saw them stop working in all the time we were there. Polite and friendly and they will all go the extra mile to help whenever they can. The toilet block was so clean and fresh - how they keep it so clean when there are so many people on site is a miracle! Lovely swimming pool with an attendant on at all times. I would return here in a heartbeat and would like to thank the wardens for their hard work

First time visitors

We arrived slightly early after travelling 8 1/2 hrs from Huddersfield, hoping to get a good pitch, thankfully the wardens had already reserved us a hard standing pitch due to the size of our motor home. We found the quiet especially for the amount of people who were here. Toilet blocks clean, looe was only 2.5 miles away. We only came for 4 nights but should have booked for 7 nights as we were going to Devon for a further 6 nights . Outdoor pool is good as is the children's play area. Wardens very helpful. You can pay £5 per person to use all the facilities next door at park dean which is a big bonus and the shop is well stocked. All in all a good week and will be returning next year.

Lovely Looe

Stayed here Sunday to Sunday in July, the best day to travel here from the midlands in my opinion, and arrived at a very crowded and bustling site. It was not difficult to find, my Snooper sat nav took me straight to it. The site was lovely set out on differing levels getting lower the further you went in but never too much to be off putting. Sadly the wifi was extremely poor bringing complaints from all that tried to use it. It was quite amusing watching folk wandering around the site, tablets in hand searching for some reception. I have a motorhome and found the site somewhat ill placed for decent venture out by bus. Although there was a stop outside of the site you could only travel to Looe, Polperro or Plymouth without going into Liskeard. The journey to Truro was predicted to be 4 Hrs each way which would have taken approx 1Hr 20mins by car so fellow motorhomers beware (we saw an awful lot of Looe as a result). As usual the toilets and showers were immaculate and the wardens friendly and helpful. Overall a pleasant stay, great if you have a car but not good for bus or on foot.
