A pleasant stay

We had an enjoyable 2 nights here nice spacious site, toilets were very clean except for one occasion in the ladies. We pity the staff that have to clean up after some people. Only niggle is that unless you fancy a walk down a busy road the bus is the only option, it's only every 2 hours or so, plan carefully.

Great site but just a few niggles

Second year at Looe site. Picked a pitch on the upper section near the tennis court to ensure I could get Wi-Fi.  It was a hit and miss signal so I agree with other reviews that it needs updating. Re: tennis court - it's in VERY poor condition. Net has holes in and not tied down, surface uneven and very slippy/dangerous after it has rained. It's VERY dirty so new balls are spoilt after one play. I bet it's never been swept as theres lots of loose gravel. Final gripe, is clarity on the latest time to inform staff if you have to leave a day early. I asked 6 days before our last day (thursday). I was told by a warden that I'd need to tell them by Monday if we were to leave on Wednesday to receive a refund for the unused Thursday (72hrs ) So as we had to leave a day earlier and as instructed I told the staff at 9am Monday morning.  However, the system retained my Thursday booking fee £22.50. I argued the fact that I made effort to clarify with the staff the latest I could cancel but a different warden was adamant that I was not going to receive a refund. I challenge the previous warden, who simply said sorry! She thought the 72hrs was calculated from 12noon! That sorry cost me £22.50.  VERY ANNOYED.

Good Site

Only at this site for four nights. Have been before. Only complaint was the 5 mph speed limit is not enforced. We were on pitch 9 and the cars entered along our road and the speed some of the large vehicles passed us was scary. Need a few humps to slow the traffic down! Don't pitch on numbers 1 to 11!

Great site shame about the wifi

We stay on this site a lot as we have our caravan in storage as always this site is first class you cannot fault it shame you cannot say the same about the wifi. It's always been a bit hit and miss some pitches are better than others and time of day always has an effect but during our recent stay in early September we could not access it at all (yes ok you could in the hut by the pool but come on) I think the caravan club need to look at it and maybe even refund members who pay for a service they are not getting, I feel sorry for the people who have seasonal pitches on this site they spend pretty much 8 months of the year with an awful wifi service that they have paid for.

Superb!

My family and I stayed on this site for a week which included August bank holiday. This was our first stay in a caravan club site and we were completely overwhelmed.  The site is immaculate with staff who are very happy to help with anything you need.  The toilet block was pristine, lovely and warm with showers you can control the temperature of.  The swimming pool is spotless and heated to 28 degrees with plenty of spaces to sunbathe and even though the camp was full the pool never seemed overcrowded.  The site is on a camber and quite steep in places so levelling blocks will be needed.  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and already looking forward to going back next year.

Great Family Holiday

Stay on site for 10 nights in August (inc bank hol weekend) Wardens were very welcoming on arrival, and all site and facilities were excellent. We had a lovely hardstanding pitch at the bottom of the site, this area was nice and quite. Wise to take some level blocks with you as some pitches seemed to need these. Looe is a lovely fishing village, with a small beach. The beach at Seaton was good and not so busy.

Brilliant weekend in Looe!

We went to Looe over the August bank holiday weekend, it’s a local trip for us. The site is very clean and tidy with friendly wardens. The outdoor pool is safe and lovely and warm! The site is only a short journey from Looe. Looe itself is a pretty fishing village with great places to eat, a nice beach and a vibrant feel to the evenings in the town. The weather was amazing we had a lovely relaxing long weekend.

family holiday

Spent 5 glorious days here in august with my daughter, son in law and grandson. Lovely camp well laid out very helpful wardens. IDEA place to say to visit places, we went to Looe,  Polperro  which are beautiful harbours. We also visited bodmin  jail which was of great interest. There are many other beautiful places within Easy reach. Note the toll cost to cross the tamar bridge with a caravan is £3.

1st class site

A well run 1st class site with an excellent location, superb wash room facilities and a wonderful outdoor heated pool. We can thoroughly recommend it.
