Lovely site with great staff

Looe Camping & Motorhome site. We stayed here for 4 nights in July 2017 and really enjoyed it. This is a very large site in a very nice location, just off the B road about 1 mile from Looe. The staff were very welcoming, smiles all round and booking in was a pleasure, so important after a long drive. A good selection of pitches both hard standing or grass to chose from. Several facilities blocks all were nice and clean (although I was told that the ladies were a little shabby at times) This site has the bonus of an outdoor pool, which was superby clean and tidy. We came before school holidays so not too busy but I imagine it would be busy once kids are off school. Outside the site is a bus stop to Looe (£3.70 return) and also Polperro about 6 miles away. We were told that a path takes you down to a beach but we also heard it was steep so didn't try it. Quite hilly terrain so we didn't get to use our bikes. The guide says the site is flat, when infact we needed to level our wheels (Motorhome) and some looked very steep near the toilet block. Lots of trees and greenery make this a pleasant site. Sadly our neightbours had two dogs which they left and the dogs barked a lot, not nice to experience this sort of behaviour.

Best Club site!

We have just spent 2 weeks on this Site 25/06/2017 - 08/07/2017. It is one of the best sites I have stayed on. The Wardens are really friendly and welcoming. The site is always kept clean and tidy. The pool is lovely clean and warm. Thank you for a fantastic time and stay.

A really pleasant site

This is our 5th visit to this site, and even 2 days of rain didn't spoil our stay! There is a lot to explore in the area - too much to mention here. The site is first class and very well maintained. If you want fish and chips, go to the Cod Shack down the road. The chip van on site served us with previously cooked chips that tasted like rubber (although the fish was fine!). Don't forget to use the branch line train into Liskeard, along the picturesque Looe valley!!!!

Perfect for Exploring South East Cornwall

We’ve yet to find a Caravan and Motorhome Club site that has not lived up to expectations. The clubs Looe site in Cornwall has friendly staff, generous pitches and spotlessly clean facilities. This is a great site for families as a base to explore South East Cornwall . There’s also plenty onsite for the kids. With its heated open-air swimming pool (end May-mid Sep), tennis court, crazy golf and ball game area, there’s more than enough to keep the family happy at the Looe Club Site. Lovely stay

We have stayed here a couple of times now and love this site, be warned you will need something to level the van as the site does slope even when looking flat :) Wardens have always been friendly and helpful. The site is spotlessly clean and well cared for. Toilet block and showers always spotless. Looe is is short distance away and there is a lovely dog friendly beach a short drive away at Seaton, this has a car park, toilets, cafe and pub.You do have to pay to park March to October. The Cod Shack just down the road from the site does great Fish and Chips but expect a short wait as it is popular and cooks to order. Dog exercise area is a little on the small side but secure and allows off lead so meets what our dog needed to keep her happy. There are also SO many bunnies on the site and these are an absolute delight to see and watch, although our dog was not necessarily of the same opinion when not allowed to chase them!!

Spring 2017

Great site, nice, clean and only a sort walk into looe. The only downside for us was that none of the nice beaches permitted dogs on to them. Most of the local pubs and shop allowed dogs in however we only found one beach that allowed dog (not a very nice one). We felt like people were happy to take our money, but we were not welcome to even a small section of beach. So unfortunately in future we will stick to the north Cornwall coast where we feel more welcome... Such a shame.

excellent site

this site goes above and beyond most caravan club sites, the staff go that extra mile and the head wardens have such a positive attitude, if only other wardens could be a bit more like them. They offer lots of little extras, such as having a coffee machine, so that you can have a nice coffee, when watching the little ones in the swimming pool, extra garden games for the children as garden connect 4 and garden dominoes, tennis rackets and golf clubs. Nice to have an enclosed ball area for children on this site, no footballs being kicked around your caravan on this site. The swimming pool is great, clean, perfect water quality. This is a large site, that is immaculately kept, i would recommend this site for any one with or without children. 5 stars for the staff.

Looe,

Normal CC standards, we have tried Looe a couple of times now and was disappointed that the grass pitches were still closed. I find the bottom shower block is awkward to get to. It does state that blocks are required but the pitches are very uneven all ways. The road is a typical Cornish road, it's wide enough, just watch out for idiots coming the other way. There is a small shop on the site next door , but Liskeard is for the main supermarkets. Dog walk is fine, watch out for rabbits.

Disappointed

Not the best caravan and motorhome club site that we have stayed on - we booked a fully serviced pitch and were very disappointed to find that they are situated directly across from the kids play area with no outlook whatsoever - we changed to an ordinary hardstanding pitch. As the site is on different levels there are steps going upto the toilet block - however you have to walk across the grass between 2 pitches to get to these - surely there should at least be flags to walk on!

Great place to stay.

Lovely site in wonderful condition, love the radio in the toilet block although there are far too many washing cubicals which could be used as toilets/showers. The number of urinals is also excessive. A regular service bus can take you to Looe/Plymouth and stops at the entrance. Many of the hard standing pitches are situated at the bottom of the site and I was surprised that not only are they not level from side to side but many are a surprising distance to walk from the toilet block/chemical toilet emptying point. A footpath from pitch145 to the block will solve the problem. On many occasions I have tried to book a hard standing pitch on Club sites only to be told that I could not do this. Imagine my surprise when I booked into this site only to be told that I could not go onto hard standing pitches 205 to 217, prime pitches, as they were booked for a golf society. As far as I can tell these pitches were only used for one night. Have the rules change? Is this fair to Members?
