Caravan Club at it's best

We have just returned from a weeks holiday. The professionalism of the Wardens Mandy & Kevin including the rest of the team is why we love the CC. The site was spotless and ran like clockwork. There were no regimental rules obvious, just an air of respect for each other and the function of the site. We have been to this site many times and will return many more times. In our opinion all CC sites should be measured by this one. Thank you Wardens for a great holiday.

Very good stay

We stayed here for a week in early June to meet with friends. We had a great welcome from new but bpvery friendly wardens who told us which beaches we walk our dog on. As far as we could tell, the hard standing pitches which we prefer are on the 'lower' site and the grass pitches on the 'upper' site - each with its own shower blocks. The lower site has the rather nice dog field. Whilst the showers were really good and clean, the site is terraced and to reach the showers either involves a bit of a trek round the roads or an illicit scramble down the banks. I agree with an earlier reviewer that the sensible thing would be to put steps in. This is a very big site - it's quite an uphill walk to reception (which has a shop with useful essential for sale). In June it was pretty empty particularly as we arrived at the end of a period of dreadful weather. When full, it would be too big and busy for us. The swimming pool looked great and the weather was hit but, sadly, no dogs allowed anywhere near so we couldn't use it. Overall a really good site for out of season for us, and if you don't mind a big, bustling site with loads of facilities for children then it would be great in high season too.

Something for everyone 😎

Stayed July 17 for 2 weeks with my wife and enjoyed every minute. Great large site with the usual clean and well looked after amenities by well mannered staff. We stayed on the serviced pitches for obvious benefits, however these are located near the children's park and can become noisy especially in children school hols. Didn't bother us but may bother some! Backed by large trees which separate the dog walk and serviced pitches, dog walkers can be a pain as they gather early and socialise, their voices travelling and waking you ha 😠. All hard standing pitches seemed level but the grass ones can slope some what, so be prepared with blocks. 2 toilet blocks and closed at separate times, good stuff. Lower glade on site has great view over Looe Bay. Heated outdoor pool was great and warm, although it was very hot weather 😎. Location is ok but to walk to Looe will take around 45 mins down hill and considerably longer coming home as well as up hill. Car parks in Looe are expensive during the day but £1 after 6 pm if just popping to the co-op or for a meal. Bus stops outside the site and I'm told is around £2.50 return each to Looe. The pensioners seemed to be the only ones using the bus as they hammer their free pass 😂 Morrison's/ aldi at Liskeard around 15 mins in car. All in all great site and we enjoyed every minute 😎 and will stay again. Dave & Tracy 😎

Lovely site with great staff

Looe Camping & Motorhome site. We stayed here for 4 nights in July 2017 and really enjoyed it. This is a very large site in a very nice location, just off the B road about 1 mile from Looe. The staff were very welcoming, smiles all round and booking in was a pleasure, so important after a long drive. A good selection of pitches both hard standing or grass to chose from. Several facilities blocks all were nice and clean (although I was told that the ladies were a little shabby at times) This site has the bonus of an outdoor pool, which was superby clean and tidy. We came before school holidays so not too busy but I imagine it would be busy once kids are off school. Outside the site is a bus stop to Looe (£3.70 return) and also Polperro about 6 miles away. We were told that a path takes you down to a beach but we also heard it was steep so didn't try it. Quite hilly terrain so we didn't get to use our bikes. The guide says the site is flat, when infact we needed to level our wheels (Motorhome) and some looked very steep near the toilet block. Lots of trees and greenery make this a pleasant site. Sadly our neightbours had two dogs which they left and the dogs barked a lot, not nice to experience this sort of behaviour.

Best Club site!

We have just spent 2 weeks on this Site 25/06/2017 - 08/07/2017. It is one of the best sites I have stayed on. The Wardens are really friendly and welcoming. The site is always kept clean and tidy. The pool is lovely clean and warm. Thank you for a fantastic time and stay.

A really pleasant site

This is our 5th visit to this site, and even 2 days of rain didn't spoil our stay! There is a lot to explore in the area - too much to mention here. The site is first class and very well maintained. If you want fish and chips, go to the Cod Shack down the road. The chip van on site served us with previously cooked chips that tasted like rubber (although the fish was fine!). Don't forget to use the branch line train into Liskeard, along the picturesque Looe valley!!!!

Perfect for Exploring South East Cornwall

We’ve yet to find a Caravan and Motorhome Club site that has not lived up to expectations. The clubs Looe site in Cornwall has friendly staff, generous pitches and spotlessly clean facilities. This is a great site for families as a base to explore South East Cornwall . There’s also plenty onsite for the kids. With its heated open-air swimming pool (end May-mid Sep), tennis court, crazy golf and ball game area, there’s more than enough to keep the family happy at the Looe Club Site. Lovely stay

We have stayed here a couple of times now and love this site, be warned you will need something to level the van as the site does slope even when looking flat :) Wardens have always been friendly and helpful. The site is spotlessly clean and well cared for. Toilet block and showers always spotless. Looe is is short distance away and there is a lovely dog friendly beach a short drive away at Seaton, this has a car park, toilets, cafe and pub.You do have to pay to park March to October. The Cod Shack just down the road from the site does great Fish and Chips but expect a short wait as it is popular and cooks to order. Dog exercise area is a little on the small side but secure and allows off lead so meets what our dog needed to keep her happy. There are also SO many bunnies on the site and these are an absolute delight to see and watch, although our dog was not necessarily of the same opinion when not allowed to chase them!!

Spring 2017

Great site, nice, clean and only a sort walk into looe. The only downside for us was that none of the nice beaches permitted dogs on to them. Most of the local pubs and shop allowed dogs in however we only found one beach that allowed dog (not a very nice one). We felt like people were happy to take our money, but we were not welcome to even a small section of beach. So unfortunately in future we will stick to the north Cornwall coast where we feel more welcome... Such a shame.
