A must visit!

Stayed at the Looe site for 11 nights. We received a warm welcome from the wardens. They were all very helpful and approachable if you needed any local information etc. The site was immaculate, all the wardens worked very hard to make sure it stayed like that. Pool looked lovely and very inviting, warden lifeguard always there to make sure all ok. Shower/toilet blocks were kept spotlessly clean, music playing was a brilliant idea. Site is situated within walking distance of Looe, 30+minutes walk with some degree of slope! remember if walking back from Looe you will have the incline! Bus does stop right outside of site which is great for us Motorhomers. Didn’t think much of the Mobile Fish & Chip van that came on site, much rather walk to the Coddy Shack which is roughly a 10minute walk from the site, you will not be disappointed, they do a good steak too for those who prefer. Took a ✅ off as the crazy golf was not useable, work in progress, we would have like to have been able to use it. All the serviced pitches are right by the children’s play area so be warned! There were a few days that some children were up and out early so perhaps a few serviced pitches further away would be a good idea. All in all we really enjoyed our stay and we will return, when the children at still at school.

Excellent Site

Visited this site just for a weekend and was very impressed with the facilities it had to offer, especially the dog walking area!! Although the site was very big and busy, it was extremely quiet. Walking distance into Looe town (about 30-40mins). Facilities were excellent and spotless too. Would definitely visit again.

Could do with a loo near the pool

Sorry, forgot to mention this in my review. A loo near the pool (and a shower if feeling super generous?) would be a great idea. I had to take my freezing 4yr old across most of the site to the toilet block and my 6yr old very comepetent swimmer had to sit out of the pool whilst I did so, despite a pool attendant being there. Could also be a problem for the less mobile.

First class site, shame about the neighbours

This site was top notch. The park area is truly excellent, with a covered area for ball games, and the (warm!) pool is a huge bonus. It’s beustifully kept. We were lucky enough to get a pitch next to the park for the kids. Unfortunately, the neighbours thought it appropriate to let their kids out on it well before the 8am rule and well after the 10pm rule. And We were the ‘mean’ parents who wouldn’t let ours out at those times. The same people had audible conversations and arguments in the awning late into the night. You know the type. Hopefully for you, they won’t be there when you visit! Overall, I can not recommend this site highly enough and the wardens were brillliant - super friendly and helpful. Hope to make it a regular trip when getting the ferry into Plymouth en route to The North.

May Half Term Break

We spent 4 nights here in May half term and loved the site. The staff were friendly and offered us really helpful advice about the the location. The facilities are excellent. We usually spend 2 to 4 nights at a site but I could happily sped a week here, there is so much to do on and off the site.

Perfect for exploring.

Site well placed for exploring this beautiful part of Cornwall. The site itself has a wide variety of pitches which should please most tourers. The shower block was clean, the second block hadn't opened this season at the time of our visit. The site has a pool, tennis courts, a basketball court and a play area. It has a reasonably sized dog walk which is ok. The shop was well stocked and the information room well presented. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

Looe

Just come back from a short three day break at the Looe Club Site and we had a great time. The warden team is excellent, friendly, helpful and informative and the hardstanding pitch we had was good and close to water etc. Site was immaculate and obviously well cared for, some of the grass pitches look like they might be interesting in wet weather as on quite a slope. Simple walk into Looe and if you take the left fork marked town centre when going down the steep path it is a lot less steep then the main path and also takes you into the middle of Looe by the Guildhall. Good coastal walks either side of Looe and an endless selection of pubs and places to eat. All in all a good mini break and an introduction to a new site we will return to (outside of the school holidays!)

'Go to' site

To be honest this site has quickly become our 'go to' location since taking up caravanning last year. We are fortunate that the site is only 25 miles from home and pretty easy to get to so last year we spent 7 nights (2 separate visits) and had a great time. We have tended to avoid to peak season which suits us and so have pretty much picked the exact pitch we want. Facilities are very good, the staff very helpful and the overall experience really good. The location is also great for us as we love Looe and the surrounding coastal villages and being keen walkers this site pretty much ticks all of the boxes. Frankly if the site were a little closer to the town it would get top marks across the board but to be honest its no great hardship if you don't mind a walk down and up to Looe. You can always catch the bus. We will be booking again this year for sure.

Nice Site

We come here every year for the Looe Music Festival. The site has all you need and is well located for walking (about 30 mins downhill) or getting the bus into Looe. Walking back is mainly uphill and not recommended for the unfit. The bus stops outside the site entrance. The weather this September (and much of the 2017 season) wasn’t good and the grass pitches were struggling to cope, many of them unusable. The wardens did a good job of getting motorhomes off water logged pitches. There are limited hard standings and we were able to secure the last one. These are obviously the ideal if you can get one. There’s nothing to dislike about this site so all I can do is recommend it unless it’s been very wet when you might want to check conditions before you book.
