Could do better

Like previous reports the servicing block does need updating. I object to people smoking in the toilets in wet weather , these should have no smoking signs in them. I have a dog and out of respect keep it on the lead only use the dog walk or as is so easy take him off site it's sad to see certain dog owners using the vacant grass pitches as dog loos. Would I go back yes it's a fantastic location and I could not fault the staff. One little thing is we were on the lower level and on the next level up was a chemical servicing area this could be approached from our pitch either by a long walk around by steps over some grass or dragging barrels/waste trolleys up a bank. A simple little pathway would save a lot of effort.

Nice Site

We have just returned home from Lady Margaret's Park after 7 nights. The site is clean and well looked after by the wardens. At night all is quiet and the day not too noisy it’s all set out in a way that you can have your own space. The surrounding area is a walker’s paradise, even when raining. The biggest downside for me is the toilet block, old and well past its prime. No matter how long anyone cleans or scrubs it will never come up to scratch (silk purse sows ear comes to mind). Don’t get me wrong it is spotlessly clean just well out of date. If the rumours are true and the club is to extend into the lower field please do up the old block.

Why did we wait so long?

It has been many years since we were last at Lady Margaret's Park, why? I don't know. It's only 75 minutes from home. We had such a great time for 9 nights end of October. The site is lovely, well situated and with great walking from site and beyond. We walked the canal both ways day after day - there are no hills on canals which suit just fine! The only disappointing thing was I left my soap bag in the showers (not for the first time!) when I discovered this next day went to the wardens expecting it to have been retrieved by them but no, some thieving B... had nicked it - not what I expect from fellow caravanners. That aside it's a super site and well worth a visit, we certainly won't wait as long before we are back

Lovely site

Our first visit to Lady Margaret after recomdation from people on another site.  A lovely warm welcome from the wardens who could nt of been more pleasant or helpful. Great size pitches in a beautiful setting with rabbit's and squirrels everywhere. Chirk is a lovely little village with a visit to the Tearooms a must. If I had any criticism at all it would be the shower block a little dated but extremely clean. The whole site is a credit to the wardens who are obviously doing a great job. Already booked our next visit ??

Autumn Holiday

We stayed here for 6 nights, The site is clean and tidy and yes the facilities are 'dated' but they are clean, the water is hot and the showers were big enough. There was very little noise from the factories or the railway and we slept well every night. Chirk castle is an easy walk from the site as well as the aquaduct. Chester and its zoo are well worth a visit. Overall we had a really lovely break. And if you like rabbits there are plenty on the site!

Autumn Jaunt

Nice clean and tidy site with very friendly and helpful staff, well positioned for Liverpool, Chester and the Pontcysyllte Aquduct which is well worth a visit, the only criticism, and it's small, is that motorhomes have to go through the exit gate and back in the entrance to get to the service point then all round the site to leave, but that would not put me off from returning to this well kept site.

An Autumn Break.

Nice site. Not as noisy from the local works as expected. Nice area with plenty to do and lots to see. Only 50 ml to Liverpool through the Mersey tunnel, is a good day out. Only issue is members driving far too fast on site!!! With or without a caravan. We rally a lot and maintain a speed of walking pace on the Rally Field and any other caravan site. Others should abide by the Club Rules before an accident occurs. Otherwise a very nice break.
