It has been many years since we were last at Lady Margaret's Park, why? I don't know. It's only 75 minutes from home. We had such a great time for 9 nights end of October. The site is lovely, well situated and with great walking from site and beyond. We walked the canal both ways day after day - there are no hills on canals which suit just fine! The only disappointing thing was I left my soap bag in the showers (not for the first time!) when I discovered this next day went to the wardens expecting it to have been retrieved by them but no, some thieving B... had nicked it - not what I expect from fellow caravanners. That aside it's a super site and well worth a visit, we certainly won't wait as long before we are back
Lovely site
Our first visit to Lady Margaret after recomdation from people on another site.Â
A lovely warm welcome from the wardens who could nt of been more pleasant or helpful.
Great size pitches in a beautiful setting with rabbit's and squirrels everywhere.
Chirk is a lovely little village with a visit to the Tearooms a must.
If I had any criticism at all it would be the shower block a little dated but extremely clean.
The whole site is a credit to the wardens who are obviously doing a great job.
Already booked our next visit ??
Our first outing
Thourghly enjoyed our 5 night stay with our cousins who visit regular, staff very helpful & friendly. Â Site & facilities spot on, good site for striking off around Wales.Â
Autumn Holiday
We stayed here for 6 nights, The site is clean and tidy and yes the facilities are 'dated' but they are clean, the water is hot and the showers were big enough. There was very little noise from the factories or the railway and we slept well every night. Chirk castle is an easy walk from the site as well as the aquaduct. Chester and its zoo are well worth a visit. Overall we had a really lovely break. And if you like rabbits there are plenty on the site!

Autumn Jaunt
Nice clean and tidy site with very friendly and helpful staff, well positioned for Liverpool, Chester and the Pontcysyllte Aquduct which is well worth a visit, the only criticism, and it's small, is that motorhomes have to go through the exit gate and back in the entrance to get to the service point then all round the site to leave, but that would not put me off from returning to this well kept site.
An Autumn Break.
Nice site. Not as noisy from the local works as expected. Nice area with plenty to do and lots to see. Only 50 ml to Liverpool through the Mersey tunnel, is a good day out.
Only issue is members driving far too fast on site!!! With or without a caravan. We rally a lot and maintain a speed of walking pace on the Rally Field and any other caravan site. Others should abide by the Club Rules before an accident occurs. Otherwise a very nice break.
Plenty to do
It was unusual for us to stay at a club site, but we wanted to visit the castle and it was so convenient. We had read the other reviews so went prepared for some noise as we were staying a Sunday night, there was no noise at all, totally peaceful. My only complaint is the speed at which other members drive at whilst on the site, both towing and solo. I usually rally so we will only travel at walking pace whilst onsite, but 20mph seems normal for most! We mentioned it to the wardens, they agreed but failed to do anything about it. That out of the way it was a pleasant autumn stay, facilities whilst old were clean. A good location for the local NT properties.
Peaceful
Our first visit to this site, and will definitely be back. Very peaceful, we had a great pitch with plenty of room. Dog walk OK. Easy walk into village, and the aquaduct. Plenty of interesting places to visit. Can recommend the Waterways Museum where dogs are welcome everywhere. The Mammoth Centre in Shropshire although they say dogs welcome, there is only a couple of fields they have access to.

Lady Margerate
Lovely site, helpful warden. Was packed when we arrived so had to use a grass pitch. As it had been raining the previous week, ground was soggy but otherwise fine.
Toilet block is bit outdated, still use plastic stools in showers, which are a bit narrow, apart from that it was always clean.

Loved this site!
Lovely pretty site. Level, spacious pitches. Very quiet and pretty setting. Clean washroom facilities. The children loved exploring the wooded areas and the play area. The picnic tables in the play area were a nice touch. Good location, right next to Chirk castle. We also walked across the aqueduct and through Chirk tunnel which is very close to the site. Nice chippy in Chirk 'star fish and chips'. Hoping to come back in the spring to see the bluebells!
