What a lovely welcome we received from the friendly and very helpful wardens. The lovely sized site, spotless and the shower block as you would expect it at CC sites. Will definitely be returning. Visited Knaresborough, Harrogate, Ripon and Masham whilst we were there and still plenty more to do. Please note the 1pm entry onto this site. An outfit turned up at 12.15 and were turned away.
Great
We have just returned after having 5 nights at Knaresborough site. Lovely friendly staff, very clean and warm facilities with red hot showers. There is that much to do in the area 5 nights was not enough and we will definatley be going back soon. For fabulous food the Guy Fawkes pub just down the road serves gorgeous food for reasonable prices. Great time had by all.
Lovely Weekend Break
Visited Knaresborough in March 2016 and had a lovely weekend. Received a nice welcome from the female warden. Site spotlessly clean. Lovely large pitch. Good TV reception. Bistro on site but did not visit this time. Instead went to the pub which is walkable from the site (The Guy Falkes Arms in Scotton) which did the most amazing food. Lovely area. Visited Ripley Castle, The river at Knaresborough (Not keen at all on the town) and Harrogate. Would certainly return to this lovely well cared for site.

Very nice stay
We stayed here in March and found it to be very clean, quiet, and very well kept. We'd only booked for 2 nights (Weds and Thurs) as the Friday night was fully booked. We spoke to one of the wardens and she was very helpful - putting us down as wanting a cancellation which did, indeed, come about. The bus stop is right outside the site with buses to Knaresborough which is a beautiful market town. We will stay again. Note the 1 O'Clock earliest entry time as they turn early arrivals away.
great stay

Perfect
Another super stay at Knaresborough en route to Scotland. Cannot fault this site at all, very clean facilities, quiet and friendly. We will certainly be back.
nice site
we only stayed a couple of nights as we were called home but the time we had was very good . nice location , good pitches , easy to find and good helpful staff . did not get chance to visit the bar but had a lovely takeaway sunday lunch served on proper plates , really good . will definitely return.
Lovely place
easy to find and pleasant surroundings . There was a good bar and bistro on site which we enjoyed a couple of times . The food was good quality , pub style food , good portions and a fair price and the bonus for us was being able to take our dog in the conservatory part so he remained with us while we ate . It is on the outside of Knaresborough a good 2 miles but there is a bus stop outside the site where you can go to Knaresborough , Ripon or Harrogate .
There was a dog walk on site but it wasn't that great but less than 5 minutes walk is the Nidd Gorge where dogs can run riot through woods , river or paths . Steep hills but well worth it for wearing out the dog .
I will be visiting again as this was great site and a lovely area .
Happy Hols
Great welcome by staff and nice clean site well maintained !!! no complaints. As to the 13.00 booking in it was no problem so I wonder if some people either haven't read the details or just not wish to conform !!!! We will use this site again .
Poor reception
We arrived at approx. 12:45 pm. We were the third to arrive at this time. Membership cards were demanded to be left with reception while members pitched and were told 'I am not allowed to check you in before 1:00pm'. On Sunday 6th March 2016, we counted 5 outfits turned away at 12:30pm. If, indeed, the request in the directory to not arrive before 1:00pm relates to the narrow road at Bond End in Knaresborough and is to avoid caravans meeting each other at that point, the wardens sending outfits back through Knaresborough makes a complete nonsense to the request. Knaresborough is not the best town to tow through in the first place so sending outfits back through it is crazy, especially when the site was three-quarters empty.
The wardens were blunt, almost to the point of being rude to some members, with their tone. It was overheard, that they had been told by 'their boss' that they were not to book anybody in before 1:00pm. A friendly Yorkshire welcome it was NOT.
