Do not arrive before 1pm

This is a very clean and tidy site, the new playground is excellent, the shower block is very clean as always on a cc site,a great site for a short break but beware do not arrive before 1pm as you will not be popular and probably turned away.

RETURN VISIT

Visited the site twice last year and only 1 hour from home so a good first try out for the outfit for the new season. Excellent as usual, wardens very chatty and helpful and a double bonus having the bar and bistro on site. Site and facilities spotless as usual

Good Weekend

Booked for Two nights, to check everything worked, only 1 hour from home and we know the area well. The wardens are very friendly and helpful, and slow down the pace of life as soon as you arrive, we were given a choice of pitches. and recommended which ones were best suited to a caravan without motor movers, although we can both reverse the rig. (my better half has been on the CC course) The food in the bistro on Friday evening was excellent, although its a pity the bistro staff aren't more chatty and friendly Would I use the site again? - YES definitely  Would I use the bistro again - probably not

Mid day

Arrived at 12.30.  Didn't,t notice on line 1.00 arrival! Told to go down road for a few miles, go round roundabout and come back. Plenty of visable empty pitches.  Did so followed by others! Arrived  back at 12.50.   In a queue,!   Others who had arrived later were told to wait.   Ludicrous, why were we not told to pitch and then check in later.  Warden in yellow vest on permerament duty to tell go up road and come back.   Silly.

Never revisit again

We had been to Knaresborough a few years back and was looking forward to another visit.  This one was totally different. Sept 16th 2015. The staff were horrendously and so rude  not only on checking in ( we were 5 mins early) but later on in week motorhome got stuck in mud, we were not offered any help and not even a visit to see how we were getting on.  It's a pity as the area is lovely, but will avoid for quite a few years until they have complete change of wardens. Holidays are suppose to be fun ours was ruined by the grumpy staff ...... It has been reported

Lovely Easter Weekens

What a lovely welcome we received from the friendly and very helpful wardens.  The lovely sized site, spotless and the shower block as you would expect it at CC sites. Will definitely be returning. Visited Knaresborough, Harrogate, Ripon and Masham whilst we were there and still plenty more to do.  Please note the 1pm entry onto this site. An outfit turned up at 12.15 and were turned away.

Great

We have just returned after having 5 nights at Knaresborough site. Lovely friendly staff, very clean and warm facilities with red hot showers.  There is that much to do in the area 5 nights was not enough and we will definatley be going back soon. For fabulous food the Guy Fawkes pub just down the road serves gorgeous food for reasonable prices. Great time had by all.

Lovely Weekend Break

Visited Knaresborough in March 2016 and had a lovely weekend. Received a nice welcome from the female warden. Site spotlessly clean. Lovely large pitch. Good TV reception. Bistro on site but did not visit this time. Instead went to the pub which is walkable from the site (The Guy Falkes Arms in Scotton) which did the most amazing food. Lovely area. Visited Ripley Castle, The river at Knaresborough (Not keen at all on the town) and Harrogate. Would certainly return to this lovely well cared for site.
