Hillhead has it all!!
"You forgot to file your paperwork"...
So firstly the good: Spotless toilets and showers (can't understand the previous reviewer - must have had different showers than I used!) TV reception - we used a booster and it was fine but to be fair, it was fine without. The top field is windy and the lower pitches tend to be more sheltered Wardens work tirelessly to keep the grass mowed, hedges trimmed, looks fab. Dog walk - spotless- well done dog owners for picking up doggy poo! Play area and play field - kept clean and tidy and a great addition for little ones. Swimming pool - lovely and warm and very clean - honestly in the sun, it gives a lot of 5 star hotel pools a run for their money. Shop - my god! where do they keep the stock - they have literally everything! Wind breakers, dog leads, brake lights - really lovely staff too. Dartmouth - nice for a day out and a walk looking at all the boats. Do venture to the three great coves in the area - but not if you are unfit! - Scabbacombe Sands - Man Sands and St Mary's Bay - dog friendly, lovely and quiet but one hell of a trek up hill backwards! Berry Head - a nice 30 min walk from Brixham Harbour and the harbour itself has lovely fish restaurants and takeaways. Get the bus in from the site and back or go at night for a meal and a taxi back is £7.50

Top Notch CC Site
We Keep Going Back - Enough Said??
We only booked in for 3 days but stayed for 6. This site has something for everyone, particularly if you have kids, pool arcade play area. Haven't used the bar so can't comment but what else could better if that's your bag. The shop isn't over priced as most commerical site stores are run by Dick Turpin. The bus service is spot on, and if you are one of the few that pay _ get a roamer + quid for the dog. Dartmouth has to be my favourite and Kingsbridge if worth a visit, although the bus is a white knuckle ride ??. Brixham is very handy and probably the best of Torbay now. We know the package holidays has killed most UK resorts for investment and Torquay proves this, a bit like Birmingham on Sea but without the bull ring! Still worth a trip though and use the ferry, a bargain at £3 return from Brixham. Best crab butties are either claws if you want to eat of a plate or the crab pot? In Dartmouth, made to order for £5 and packed with fresh crab. Dog owners have a beer in the Royal Castle Hotel ~ the place less the top restaurant is dog friendly and about £10 for 2 drinks if the Mrs drinks a large Pinot??. The walk to the beach is worth it but take a flask etc as there is nothing else there and it is arduous - there is a national trust car park half way but you Will need to ask how to find it. We always walk and allow about 3 hours for a bimble pace and an hour on the beach! Thanks again wardens!

Blooming fabulous holiday
What a great holiday, the views from the site are breath taking, the entertainment was fun and loved that dogs were welcome, the dog walk was great and everyone was friendly and helpful. The area has some great places to visit, we loved Berry head with the dogs, Dartmouth with its paddle steamer, Dartmoor and its poniEs, Brixham and Torquay to name a few. A blooming great time was had by all, will definately be going back, just need better weather!
The Best Caravan Club site ever
we stopped here for two nights and could not believe it A shop that was stocked to the roof with just about everything you may ever need and very nice friendly helpful staff. A Bar on site which serves food and drink with entertainment at the weekends at a very reasonable price .A heated swimming pool with life guard great for kids and the most helpful and friendly caravan club staff I have ever met (unlike southport), Just wish every caravan club site was like this one. I can't recommend it any higher well worth a visit and very dog friendly as well truly 5 star.
