Great Site

What a great site small but plenty of room, a great place to stop, Henley is a great town you can walk it takes about 15min and the path is small so be careful of the traffic some great restaurant's. Yes the site is a little noisy with the road and also the planes above but not too bad didn't keep me awake. Not far from Windsor a great place to visit as well as numerous other places around this area. Wardens are very helpful and the site very clean. Yes I would come again

Pub in the Park

We stayed here to attend the Tom Kerridge Pub in the Park event in nearby Marlow. What a lovely site with a mix of pitches, grass, hard standing, awning and non awning all mixed in together so the regimentation of lines was not present. Spotlessly clean facilities and the site itself. The weather was awful for most of the time of our stay, getting soaked on a boat trip added to the mix. Great to come back to the caravan at the end of each day. Having resided in the area for many years a while ago it was good to revisit. There are walks along the Thames that you can get as far as you want. The walk to Marsh Lock across the bridge over the weir pool is always fun, past the rowing museum, going up stream. Downstream you can walk to Hambleden Lock, cross the weir and walk into Hambleden itself for a pint & chilli nachos at the Stag & Hunstman. Or continue downstream to the Flower Pot. Take a tour of the Luxters brewery and winery if you have a gift experience voucher. Danesfield House is worth it for afternoon tea as a treat. Marlow is worth an aimless wander, you may even spot 'celebrities'. The red kites soaring in the area are prolific. We will use this site again.

Noisy but nice

This site is near a busy A road and noise continues throughout the night. It is also under the Heathrow flightpath. Be aware that most of the non-awning pitches are very near the road. The site itself is quiet and clean. The toilets and showers are very clean and pleasant. The walk to Henley along the narrow pavement next to the busy road is most unpleasant, especially with a dog.

Noisy but nice

As with most other reviews the site is well kept and friendly staff are welcoming and helpful. The major problem for us was the noise of the traffic. The area is pleasant and the restaurants tried were good. I was surprised to see that a previous review from last year mentioned the barrier card reader being out of commission as this still applies. That is unless it is a perennial problem slightly inconvenient but not a big issue. The walk into Henley is OK in time and distance but the pavement is narrow and the traffic unforgiving. Worth a visit but may not return as a result of the busy nature of the area and access through the towns.

Great weekend!

We had a great weekend here in April. Nice flat pitch, plenty of space, friendly wardens, clean toilets and showers with loads of hot water. Shame about the narrow footpath from the site into Henley on a busy road. We did some fab walks and bike rides straight from the site. We will probably come back.

Fantastic Site

Have just spent a few days at this marvellous site. The wardens Billy and Carol were extremely helpful, professional and hardworking. The site was looking great. A very convenient site for Henley on Thames, pubs, restaurants and walks along the Thames. Will definitely return. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Great week

Lovely well maintained site with the addition of wonderful staff.... although a main road runs along side the noise really didn't affect us.... our youngest loved the toddler room with a little bath .....a short walk into Henley and a lovely walk along the Thames. Suited us as a family who where visiting our eldest son who lives nearby plus we have Merlin passes so was ideal for legoland, Thorpe park, chessington plus a train into London .... this site will in no doubt become our 2nd home over the next few years :)

First night nerves

Having just purchased our motorhome from SMC we decided to stay locally for our first night which we were very nervous about. The staff on site were very helpful friendly and reassuring. The site was fantastic the only small downside to it was that the road back from town is unlit for a short distance but that's not the fault of the site.
