Terrific location

This is the third time visiting this site, as usual very friendly and helpful wardens, a great site in a wonderful location (the dales are the best by a long way) Easy walk into Hawes where everybody is friendly, a site to return to!

Doggy heaven

I stayed here for 3 nights on the 17th July 2015 for the first time. Apart from the roller coaster ride on the road in it was well worth it.  The site and facilities were clean and well looked after.  The wardens as usual very helpful and friendly but what did it for me was the fact that I could go virtually anywhere with our two dogs. Cafes, pubs and shops were all on the list. We bought our caravan in 2012 so that we could take our pooches on holiday with us and this really is the best site we have been to for our dogs up till now. The site dog walk had just been opened and it was fantastic.  Plenty of things for them to sniff and explore, the best dog walk I have come across so far!. Hawes itself is a very friendly town and everyone makes you welcome.  I would certainly recommend a visit and will be going back soon.  It's just a pity about the roads going there but that won't stop me.

Stop gap on way to Scotland

Lovely location, close to village.  Love the new improved dog walking area.  Staff helpful and friendly.  Always enjoy our stay here although only 2 nights this time as breaking our journey up to Scotland.  Will no doubt be back :-)

Not quiet.

We love this site but we have noticed in the last few years that it is becoming a lot noisier, last September it was a car alarm going off till well past midnight, last weekend it was a VW camper leaving at 06.30am slamming doors, and kids playing foot ball on site,I think this is non members.

hawes ..nice dog walk

Prettily situated, very nice site. Some pitches a little modest. The dog walk is super in their nice large field. Staff pleasant and helpful.Phone signal poor and tv signal very poor,..booster cables needed ..if those things matter to you.Plenty of off site activities and places of interest. Hawes is a nice village.Dogs do bark, people do make smoke from barbecues..get over it.

We'll be back

Had a cracking weekend, with an improved dog walk since the last time we visited, which pleased the dog no end.  Hawes, with it's great shops, tea rooms and chippy what else can a man wish for. As the review title suggests, we'll be back.

Second time and just as good

This was the second time  we have been to this site and it was just as good if not better . The site is well kept by the friendly and efficient wardens, the only prob we had was with midges but thats no ones fault. The villiage of Hawes is only 5 minutes walk away and is a  bustling place with many pubs shops and eatery's we ate in the Crown and it was very good food and reasonable prices. The Chippie down the main street is one of the best fish and chips I have ever tasted, you can get half chips which is a good idea. we will be back as Arnie says  .
