Brilliant site

There is nothing to fault this site on, great location, clean, fantastic dog walk, close to town and well placed for local attractions. Also great for local walking. We will be back.

Pretty Hawes CC Site

Just returned from a weekend at this pretty site which is a very short walk from the lovely village/small town of Hawes.  Lovely kept site.  Wardens really friendly and helpful.  Facilities immaculate.  Lovely food at both The Crown Hotel and White Hart.  Both dog friendly. Will certainly be back to this site.

Hawes Review

Pleasant well organised site in a good location adjacent to the village. A visit to the cheese centre is a must. Good walks around the area. Pity about the weather but we can't hold the campsite responsible for that!

Lovely site and area

This was our first visit to this site and area. Stayed for a few days. Lovely site within walking distance to Hawes village.  It's what you come to expect from the CC. Very quiet and peaceful. The pitches a good and some pitches will need level blocks for motorhomes. Hawes village is just fab, lots of places to shop, eat and drink and the creamery is walking distance too lovely cheese and well worth a visit

first visit to a caravan club site

As our first time on a caravan club site we were very pleased with the friendly welcome. We found both the people running the site and other caravan club members very pleasant and friendly. The dog walking area is brilliant. Our collie loved it. The site is very well maintained and clean throughout. We will most definitely be back!

Great Location

I agree with all the good reviews, but, I would add one comment about the levels on the majority of the pitches. All the pitches appear to be able to accommodate caravans, as they have more scope for levelling.  However, as a motorhome owner, I found that most pitches were still not able to allow the motorhome to be level on ramps. Fortunately,  I had two hydraulic jacks to aid levelling.

Two Wensleydale CHEESE Addicts + our 'BOXER'

We have stayed at Brown Moor / Hawes, twice a year since 2000 and have enjoyed every minute. As owners of 7 Boxers the surrounding area was nice for them. This year however, our current model, MISTY, couldn't get enough of the 'New Dog Walk' and made many Friends (including their owners). The staff, throughout have been fantastic and are a credit to the Club, always cheerful and helpful. Facilities are adequate and maintained in prime condition. As my wife and I are now 78 (on pitch 78) it's just far enough from the superb Cheese Factory. God willing, we'll be back again. Many thanks for being there for us. Pete, Val and Misty.

Cows and tractors

If you happen to be alongside the working farm, be prepared that cows and tractors arise early. Otherwise, a delightful and well kept site to which we would return unquestionably.
