We visited here in September and found the site to be in a great location, close to Hawes and surrounding area. The site unfortunately was not so good. The grass hadn't been cut for a while and still not cut the week we were there. The weeds in parts of the site were at least 1 feet tall. The area around the reception was however well kept. We were told by another a caravanner that the lawn mowers were both broken, surely they could have hired one until theirs was fixed. As for the weeds, these could quite easily been strimmed (their strimmer was working as we saw the warden strim part of the picnic area). The water drains on the super pitches which we were on, were dirty and full of leaves, in fact the only other time we actually saw the wardens was when they emptied the bins. Hopefully next year they will have wardens who will take a pride in the site.
Good site but ..
Very good site with all hard standings . Toilet block good and clean but a little tired and smelly which added to the very strong sheep smell from farm next door. Wardens were very helpful but felt a little officious when reprimanding members of our party when helping each other. But still a very good site with excellent access to very good walks around the Dales
Well presented
Very good site well looked after easy walk in to hawes . Wardens very helpful

WHAT A SITE
We visited Hawes in October and found everything to be very good. The wardens were exceptionally helpful and the site kept in a very clean and tidy condition. The site is conveniently placed to have a nice pleasant walk into the town. We will certainly be visiting the site again and look forward to the improvements which are going to be implemented
Lovely stay
This a campsite we regularly use its very easy walking distance to the town pubs and resurants which eating out, it is a must to book as Hawes is only a small town but it's haven for walkers visitors and a good night out. The campsite is very quiet we have always found and the staff are always delightful on arriving and leaving. The grounds are very well looked after and offer alot of wildlife including some very friendly ducks that know when the food is being cooked and if you are lucky a few squirrels. The pitches are spacious and well maintained. A link for the TV signal is needed as poor reception or a good DVD The facilities are immaculate and having MS the disabled facilities were Excellent with lovely hot water. This site is faultless with so much to offer in its surroundings area. We recommend for a night or a few in Hawes keep up the great work x
Lovely quiet and peaceful site with great views
We have recently stayed there for a weekend break. This was our first visit in this area and it was lovely. Could have done with a longer break but will definitely be back. Hawes is very nice, a short walk to the village with some nice pubs. The site is well kept and the toilet and shower blocks are very clean. The wardens are very helpful and friendly. Would definately recommend this site. The improvements will only make it even better.

A great site with some amazing views
This was our second visit this year. The site is really well kept and the wardens are really friendly and work tirelessly to keep it looking nice. Its close proximity to Hawes (less than 10 minutes walk) is a great bonus as well as the variety of walks available from the site. We loved the fairly short walk to Hardraw Force particularly good despite some typical Dales weather!! We can't wait to visit again next year and experience the results of the planned re-development.
A short break in the rain
Site is very clean but ready for a refurb next year.
Lots of good pubs could not find a bad pint.
The cheese factory was great.
Lots of members do not keep to the speed limit what are they trying to prove?

A Great Week At Hawes CC Site
The Hawes CC Site is probably the nearest CC site to our home it being less than an hour away, but although we regularly visit the town of Hawes for the day we had never thought to stay there! What an opportunity we have missed. We stayed at the site for a week from 6th to 13th October and had a great break from the moment we arrived and were greeted by the friendly, helpful Wardens. The toilet/shower blocks are showing their age but they are functional and spotlessly clean, moreover the entire site is due for refurbishment starting in January. There are great walks directly from the site and Hawes town with its shops, pubs, cafe's etc is only a 10 minute walk away. The beer, food and service at the White Hart Inn is excellent but you will need to book a table even midweek in the middle of October. Thanks for great break.
