Cracking weekend- hawes

Arrived during a typical black sleeting night, dark roads wind swept sleet driving along the country roads to get to the site. Parked up at reception ran to the door freezing cold weather.......well what a warm happy welcome by the site team. Shown where the pitch was chose out of these ones I was told. Parked up.set up and walked up to the reception area , speaking to the site team happy to help out and couldn’t do enough for me. Facilities were great showers that you don’t need to keep your bum on to keep the hot water ( yes hot, I had to turn them down a bit...there’s a first lol) no press switch in.. no soap in ur eyes here The pawnine way ...dog walk and field exception my little princess ran her heart and lungs out Excellent for the village of hawes and numerous pubs shops etc WE WILL BE BACK!

One of our favouritevsites

One of our favourite sites.. Easy access into Hawes via a footpath. Dogs welcome in most, if not all pubs. Wardens very friendly and the site clean. Unfortunately it is a very popular site so its not always possible to stay at weekends but we've just come back from a few days stay which was booked at relatively short notice.

Lovely to be back

We try and get to Hawes twice a year. This year just the once to check out the revamped utilities block. The facilities are first class and my wife said the disabled toilet etc was up there with the Ritz hotel. Why do we rate Hawes - Love the dales, the town is close by, the scenery is outstanding, great dog field wher our grey hound can stretch it's legs all backed up by immaculate site and very helpful wardens.

Excellent stay

Lovely camp , excellent location , wardens helpful and friendly. Only thing would be toilet block closes for cleaning very early in the morning and in winter later Closing times would be appreciated.

Beautiful location with superb facilities

The second time we have stayed on this site and will certainly come back again. Friendly efficient wardens and spotless updated services. The peace and quiet on the site couldn’t be faulted until the last night of our stay when an inconsiderate motor home user on the serviced pitches near us played very loud rock music until after 10.30. We have been members for 30 years and accept that this is a very rare occurrence, it is not a reflection on the staff or the site but on one inconsiderate member.

Superb location

We stayed on a serviced pitch for 8 nights in early November. This site is a gem. Superb location being a 10 minute stroll into the centre of Hawes with its numerous shops. Also walks from the site and plenty a little further afield. Every local village has delightful coffee shops just perfect for a well earned treat after a walk. Special mention must be given to the wardens as they are so friendly and helpful.

Mid Week Break

We stopped at the site Tuesday to Friday in early November. The wardens were very friendly and the refurbishments were very good. The toilet block was very warm and clean, The location of the site near to all the amenities of Hawes is excellent. We had some excellent walks in the surrounding area. It was our second visit and will stop again.

A weekend visit

This is a delightful site, with very clean and warm facilities as well as charming and helpful wardens. We enjoyed our weekend visit as much as we did previously. Thank you wardens, for remembering we are on holiday!

Great Location

Great location for a site, easy walk into Hawes and also close to the open countryside for exploring the dales and fells. The new toilet block is nice clean though maybe not big enough for the whole site at busy times. Disappointed that some of the pitches are not level, especially as the site has recently been refurbished, its not difficult to make the pitches somewhere near level during the construction process. At these prices would expect the pitches to be level, that said the site was well kept and maintained

Lovely hawes

Booked hawes on late availability for 2 nights, while touring in motorhome. Love hawes, location & site wonderful scenery. Walked to hardraw falls had lunch in the creamery. Rope factory worth a visit. Good dog walks on & off site. Spar in town for provisions & plenty of good pubs to eat in. Will always include Hawes in travels. Such friendly helpful staff too. Site usual high club standard.
