Excellent Site

We were met by very friendly and helpful wardens and found the facilities to be excellent. Will definitely return and have no hesitation in recommending.

3rd visit to this site, will be back

Superb location, loads of walks straight from the site, very big dog walking area where you can let your dogs off. Very friendly staff, greeted by warden with clip board when arriving, giving us all the information needed, that was spot on. Bit of farm noise, and smell from the cows, but didn’t bother us. My only little gripe would be to have sanitiser at each service point to minimise risk of infection, but that’s been the same at every site, you can always take your own but it’s remembering every-time. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, will definitely be returning

First visit to Hawes

Had a few days at Hawes . Nice site very friendly and helpful staff . Close enough to walk into Hawes. Good dog walking on site but a little disappointed that you had to walk off the site to find and follow a footpath if yo wanted to walk further. Had some great days out and did some nice walks . Looking forward to going back .

Covidiots

Had a brilliant weekend walking again, site is located within easy walking distance to the town. Site well kept and wardens do there upmost to ensure everyone's safety during this current situation. However disappointing to see not everyone follows the rules. Witnessed a couple arrive to meet their friends staying on site and left their car on site while they all travelled off for the day together in one car. The information sheet clearly states no visitors. Some people think they can bend the rules in front of the wardens nose. Poor behaviour!!

Wonderful location for our first outing

We stayed for 2 nights earlier this week and we couldn't have asked for anything more ideal. It was our first overnight outing in 'Jemima' - we are motorhome virgins! Everything was lovely, from Hawes itself, to the old railway station adjacent to the site, to the tawny owl who watched us as we stood underneath, wide eyed! Special mention to the gentleman with the clipboard (Roger), who greeted us on arrival and then came over when bidden and helped 2 clueless newbies with his practical knowledge and friendly advice. Thanks so much, can't wait to come back!

Lovely Site!

Stayed for 2 nights on way home from a windy coastal break. Wardens were really nice and helpful with a local walk. Site was to the standard expected, Covid measures were fine, only slight niggle was that the cleaning regime started a bit early (a few other people said this too) Was in a great location to walk into Hawes, shops, pubs, cafes etc... We ate in the White Hart Country Inn, food was REALLY NICE, top Restaurant standard! Walk from site (we like to leave our Campervan once set up) the the Waterfall at Hardraw took app 1 hour there and back and is worth paying the £4 fee which goes towards the upkeep of the area. Will definitely return................

We wish we could have stayed longer

A great site in a top location. We were booked in for 3 nights and wish we could have stayed longer. We were pitched by the farm which was at times noisy and a bit smelly but we didn’t mind. The site itself is what you would expect from CAMC, clean and well run by friendly wardens. The Covid safety measures work and seemed to be followed by everyone. My only niggle is that the facilities are closed for cleaning from 9.45 - 12.00, which is when you would expect most people to want to use them. Hawes town centre is 5 mins walk from the site and provides something for everyone. There numerous walks from the site to suit most people.

Great site

We have stayed here several times and it is a lovely site. Yes it’s next to a working farm so some noise is expected and next to a main road but it’s not intrusive. Choose your pitch accordingly. Ignore the comments re clipboard man. It’s a lovely site well run and spotless. Staff friendly and helpful. Facilities great. Lovely pitches. Well placed for 5 minute walk into Hawes. Feels like you in middle of nowhere. Can’t fault this site we will return again and again as love it. We are very picky and this site is great.

Great well run site

Another great visit to Hawes, arrival and booking in was really clear and organised and Covid precautions very well done and the staff really helpful. Ignore some of the negative comments on checking in, you just need to be able or willing to read the notices and have half a brain.. we were thankful the site is being so vigilant in keeping people safe. Facilities clean as always although numbers limited so you just have to wait a bit or pick your time and pretty well everyone was respectful of the rules.
