Eddie & Judy the site wardens are a credit to the Caravan Club

This was our first visit to the site on the race course at Great Yarmouth. After driving for 3 hours, we switched off the motorhome engine to check in & unfortunately the battery had not been charging so our vechile would not re-start.  Eddie was immediately on hand with a battery charger pack & got us re-started.  He even followed up with a map showing us how to get to the nearest Halfords so we could replace the battery. Such a genuinely friendly chap, he was only to pleased to help us out. Once we were settled we checked in with Judy for some hints & tips to make the most of the area, what a wonderful lady, she truely enjoyed her role with the caravan club and her enthusiasm to help just radiated through.  This couple are an absolute credit to the Caravan Club, we wish them well on their next placement & certainly hope to meet them again soon - absolute gems!

Excellent

This site is very well looked after by the really friendly wardens. The toilets are brand new and fantastic. The site itself is open and looks as if it could get a bit soggy in wet weather, but that is a minor issue as it's sandy and the water will drain away easily. Not much to keep kids amused but the bus into Gt Yarmouth, with all its wonders, stops only 2 minutes walk from the site gates. Dog owners like us are spoilt. Out of the site to the left and down 300 yds to a fantastic beach. A bit pebbly but still a great space for the dog to run. Being there during a raceday would be fantastic as you're pitched right next to the course. We'll be back for a raceday sometime next year.

Norfolk Gold

A really nice site with, as with most C/C sites, helpful & friendly wardens The beach is a doggy type persons delight. Miles & miles of sand to walk on in absolute peace. Marvellous. Being a 10-15 min walk into Great Yarmouth is also nice. All in all a good place to relax & unwind

Warm welcome

We arrived without a booking just after 5pm last Monday and were greeted warmly by the warden.  She was very friendly and genuinely happy to see us.  The site is very well kept with immaculate facilities.  On this occasion we stayed just one night, but I'm sure we will be back.

the best wardens

This club site is just the best. Its near a dog friendly beach. Miles of beach for walking. Pubs, shops, buses etc etc all within easy reach. And the best bit is the wardens......they are always smiling, happy, pleasant and they keep the site beautifully.

Yapping Dog

Arrived to be greeted by the friendly staff set up and got the kettle on and put the awning up. Went out to get some shopping when we got back the van nearly opposite had a yapping pup secured near the front of their van plus two others secured nearby. Then it started yap yap yap the couple inside just ignored the pup all week. Responsible people with their dogs had their pets under control this couple seemed to be oblivious to this dog yapping it spoiled what was otherwise a pleasant sunny week.

Ticks the boxes for us

The lady warden here has to be the best and most friendly one we have met. A warm welcome and friendly smile throughout our stay, and could not have been more helpful. The site was also well kept, and is handy for the bus or a walk along the coast. Beach is only 5 mins walk. Enjoyed the stay and will use again.

A great stay

Our first stay at the Gt Yarmouth site, very easy to find, and facilities are the best we have found so far. On the bus route for Caister and Gt Yarmouth town although the walk to the town is not that far. The wardens are very helpful and polite and keep essentials such as bread, milk, cake and various biscuits in their office. You have to cross the racetrack to enter and leave the site, our first night there was torrential rain and there were large puddles to negotiate, wet feet for a while. There is a fish and chip van that visits the site a couple of times a week, excellent fish and several ice cream vans also visited during our stay. Caister Castle/car collection is worth a visit as are the museums in Gt Yarmouth. Certainly a site I would recommend.
