Short Stay in June 2017
We stayed here for 5 nights early June and had a lovely time. The staff are friendly and very welcoming. The site is clean and well maintained and the facilities are spotless.
We weren't there for any of the race meetings but I can imagine it would be a great place to be.
There is easy access to the buses into Great Yarmouth and for those a bit more energetic it is not too far to walk.
We found a very nice pub halfway along the road opposite the site which served a fantastic Sunday lunch at a very reasonable price. It is advisable to pre-book though as it gets very busy. We got lucky.
Would definitely stay here again.
Great time at a great site
Stayed here for 6 nights beginning of July , site wardens very cheerful , enthusiastic , and caring , site lovely and clean , showers excellent , not the push button type. Lots to do from site , plenty of places to visit. Horse racing was on the Thursday we stayed but we had four seasons in one day . The other 5 days beautiful weather. Great for dog walkers beach and dunes 5 mins from site , wardens always keeping site tidy and clean, fish and chip van once a week comes to site. Ice cream van visits every day. Overall we have had a excellent holiday thanks to the wardens you are doing a brilliant job . Would we return yes yes yes 10 out of 10 from us . Regards Andy and Babs and Molly the white boxer .
Excellent
Shaun & Billie are probably the friendliest and most helpful Wardens we have met in a long time. Would suggest Wardens from a site very close by could maybe take a lesson from these. It's good to see someone who seems to enjoy their job and it shows. Nice to see keep up the good work and we'll certainly be back if they are still here.

Great for families
Wardens 10/10, very friendly. Toilet block 10/10 excellent. Access to Gt Yarmouth and beaches 10/10. Peace and tranquility 1/10. Had a bad morning on Tuesday 20th June. Sea mists at 0430 am meant a continous bleeping from the bouys out at sea until 0700. Then an alarm from the nearby mobile home sight went on for 45 minutes until 0700. Then the course watering tractor arrived and pumped away just by our van, then the driver strimmed all around the fence posts for over an hour. Do not park on the Eastern side of the sight by the rails if you like a long lie-in. Also ambulances for the local Hospital are frequent with their blues and twos. I can see that families with children will love it. Tractors and huge sprinklers - great fun. Perhaps I'm being a bit grumpy, in future we will chose sites with butterfly logos for peace and quiet. Mind you it was great to see seals swimming just off the beach.
Will Definitely Be Back
We visited for a long weekend at the beginning of June 2017, as we were attending a weekend car show being held at the race course so it seemed the best option.
We had a brilliant weekend and the site is of the high standard you would expect from the Caravan and Motorhome Club.
The biggest joy for us was the wardens, they were the chattiest, most friendly, nicest wardens we have met during our first year of being members.
They certainly made us welcome and we will be returning without a doubt.
A short walk from the site is the beach / dunes, which is ideal for dog walking.
A slightly longer walk and you are in the town centre of Great Yarmouth, with all its great attractions.
Nice and quiet
We took 5 children and had a lovely time here, very quiet site. I wondered if we might need some other sort of entertainment on site to keep the children happy but with all that there is around locally there is now need for more on site. The facilities were very clean and the staff very friendly and willing to help and give advise. Will go again.
Peace and quiet, helpful staff
A very quiet site slap bang in the middle of the racecourse, couple of miles from the centre and about half a mile from the beach. Beach was ideal for walking the dogs as it was very quiet. There is a co-op and a costcutter just up the road, ideally placed really. We stopped for 3 nights and was pleasantly surprised. All shower blocks etc were kept nice and clean and the staff were very helpful. Big thanks to the manager who came to our rescue when the canopy broke on our Motorhome, don't know what we would have done without him, he spent a couple of hours with me removing it from the side of our van, top bloke! Playground for the kids I think is new, bits and bobs for sale in the shop and fish and chips offered on the Saturday. Lovely little Site.
Wouldn't stay anywhere else
Second time we've stayed here and can't understand why we'd want to stay elsewhere. Good pitches, friendly staff and close enough to the town centre that you can walk (or cycle. - as we did). And the beach is even closer! No play area for children though.
Will stay here again
Polite and friendly staff, very clean and tidy.
Very short walk to the beach, great for families. Will stay again.
