Short stay/motorhome

Nicely laid out small site.Stayed 2nights in our Motorhome. The shower block and toilets were not open during our stay due to Covid. Not sure why! We had stayed on 4other sites during our break and all had systems in place for use of facilities.Would not have stayed longer because of this. The village is within walking distance but there is Nothing there. A community shop and a pub in a Social hall which is only open 4days.Grafham water is a good long walk away from the site.Ok for people with cars but not a site for a longer stay in a Motorhome.Peaceful and clean with friendly warden.Would only return if needed an overnight stay on route to somewhere else.

First time out this year ! Nice couple of nights at Grafham

This was our first time out this year due to COVID , so we stayed close to home , and so the motor-home could all be tested out again. Stayed here a few times before and we always have a good stay here. We take our dog and it is ideal for him as there are miles and miles of dog walks straight from the site. Site wasn't that full , considering children on holidays etc. So we had a pick of pitches and settled in our favourite pitch that we have had 3 times before ! . When I booked in wardens very welcoming and masks and screens being used in the office which was good to see, sanitiser bottles around the site as well. This site is kept very well by the wardens. The final price was slightly lower as the government had dropped the tax rate so that was a bonus , however no facilities open due to a boiler problem apparently , but normal price charged. We had our motor-home so not a major problem , but didn't know until I got there (apparently it was in small print on my booking confirmation(it was). Also met an old friend on site by chance who I hadn't seen in 10 years !! All in all , great site we love it , nice and peaceful ,had the best nights sleep for months whilst there , and we will definitely be back again

Another great visit to Grafham Water

Travelling home after another great visit to Grafham Water. Lovely location and site immaculate. The two wardens were great. Reassuring and visible presence around the site really appreciated. The service points were kept really clean with ample hand sanitiser. Cycled around Grafham Water. No where near as busy as the beaches and a much safer option. Already planning our third visit.

Peaceful break. Lovely location. Great staff

We stopped at Grafham Water for 2 nights while heading north. Well located just off the A1 but far enough that you couldn't hear a thing at night. We enjoyed cycling locally and walks with the dog. On the approach to the site I pulled over to allow a van through and got stuck in the mud on the verge. Staff were helpful in letting me use mud mats so I could get out. The staff were wonderful- friendly and approachable - and managing the new arrangements really well. The site is impeccably kept with great care and attention. We can't comment on the facilities as these were closed due to a boiler problem. A shame that prices weren't adjusted to reflect this.

Lovely site

Just had three very pleasant nights at Grafham Water site. Relief wardens very friendly and helpful. The toilet facilities were not available due to lockdown considerations but that did not cause us any problem. The service points were very clean and sanitiser available. one thing that does need attention is the metal hosing at the chemical disposal facility and the waste water points. The hoses either need to be shorter or better still of durable polythene because trying to bend the hoses to get them in receptacles causes water to gush out the connection to the tap. Everyone we spoke to said the same. Trying to empty and wash out the toilet containers was very difficult. The metal hoses are very impractical. Sorry to moan but they really need replacing.

First time out in our caravan.

This was our first time out in our caravan. We picked it up on Saturday morning and had already booked to stay at Grafham Water. When we arrived we were greeted by two friendly wardens (Carl and Donna if I remember) Everything was explained to me as to where to pitch up and park my car. I was told that if I have any questions at all just ask. I found the site very quiet and clean.Nice clean toilet and shower block. Grass areas nice and tidy. We enjoyed our stay and will be returning again.

As good as last time

Last visited 4 years ago and still as good. Plenty of cycling and dog walking. A little gem of a site.

Great First Visit

We stayed at Grafham Water Caravan Club Site for one night. It was our first stay here and only the second night away in the camper van. Very impressed with the site - a warm, friendly welcome and a very quiet site made for a lovely stay. Toilet and shower facilities very clean and the site is well lit at night (but not too bright!) Just a shame our stay was only for one night - will definitely be back.

Lovely Site

We stayed at Grafham Water Club site over a weekend it was our first stay here. We were very impressed. It is only a small site which we like, all facilities very clean and well kept. The wardens were very friendly and helpful when we arrived and during our stay. We will certainly go back and as not too far from home will probably make this a frequent stay location. The community pub and shop are a short walk away and both very well stocked and friendly staff. This site is in a lovely location great for all the family.

First but not the last visit

After reading some previous reviews we were sceptical about staying at the site, but from the moment we were booked in we were pleasantly surprised. The wardens were very helpful and informative and always busy doing jobs around the site. We cannot fault the site even though it was full due to the Bank Holiday. The toilet and shower block was spotlessly clean, plenty of hooks in the shower cubicle and the bench seat was handy especially when you are an older caravaner. Lovely areas to walk your dog. We will definitely be going back again and would recommend this site to our family and friends. Thank you for a great stay.
