Quiet and Relaxing

Originally booked this site as a means to break up our journey home. Turns out that this was the one of the nicest sites we stayed at. Easy to get to, relatively small, lovely welcome, great location, peaceful and relaxing. Easy access to Grafham Water and its circular cycle / walking trail. Plenty of places en route to stop and rest by the water. The site has its resident ducks, moorhens, and even its own owl. Facilities are clean and bright. Pitch sizes are really good, no-one is too close. Will definitely visit again, next time it will be for a longer stay.

24Hrs in A & E

This was our third stay at Grafham Water. The wardens are professional but very helpful and friendly. Booking in was nice and smooth also we was able to extend our stay. Good amount of pitches too choose from, so we went for a grass pitch next to some trees which gave the dogs some shade. The resident owl is magnificent and has a wonderfully deep twit twoo. There are lots of walks to do. The disability bathroom was very clean and tidy but really does need some nonslip flooring as it’s quite dangerous when wet and bares no reflection on the wardens. Unfortunately I became quite unwell whilst staying at Grafham Water and needed an ambulance. I’d like to the thank the wardens for their assistance, concern, helpfulness and understanding it really did make the world of difference to a very stressful situation for my husband(Me, I can’t remember a thing). I’d also like to thank the members in the Motorhomes that where pitched around us for there help and concern. Looking forward to our next stay.

Wet week at Grafham Water

Greeted by 2 very friendly wardens got booked in very quickly and everything explained to us we were staying a week so had a choice of hard standing pitch which was great considering the weather. The site is well maintained and spotless facility’s although a little dated, considering there are only 2 wardens on this site that’s an achievement in itself. We saw the resident owl and lots of wildlife. The weather was windy and wet but there is lots to do around the area and the hut with the information in was very helpful. The pitches are closer together than other caravan club sites but you still felt you had privacy around your pitch. All in all we had a good week and would recommend the site if you want peace and quiet.

Needs some grounds maintenance

Grass and weeds growing through the gravel on many of the hardstanding pitches gave the site a slightly uncared for look, but there were no issues with the facilities generally.

Lovely peaceful site

This site is beautifully kept and very peaceful. Pitches are flat. The shower/toilet facilities are spotless. It is a short drive from Grafham Water (or you could walk) and not too far from Huntingdon (15 mins) if you fancy a bit of retail therapy or there's Cambridge for a nice day out (40 mins) We stayed for 3 nights and had a very relaxing break. There is a lovely dog walk with access from the site too. I would highly recommend this place if you want peace and quiet with nearby attractions.

Lovely Easter break in a perfect location

This was our first visit to this site and we have nothing but praise for our stay. The site was easy to find, just followed the sat nav instructions which took us straight to the site in the village of Grafham. We went to the site office to book in which also doubles up as a shop, we were met by the 2 friendly and helpful site wardens. We were given a map and told which plots had already been taken we were then free to go and choose the pitch we wanted, ours was a hard standing pitch with electric hook up, you can also have grass standing and serviced pitches. There was plenty of room to put our car, caravan and awning in a very sunny location (we did have glorious weather!), peaceful roomy site with trees surrounding the site and plenty of birds, we were thrilled to encounter a long eared owl enjoying a dust bath! We returned to the office to let them know our site number. The site is within easy reach of Grafham Water, you can walk to the waters edge, cycle or go by car, also several National Trust places close by and different pubs and restaurants. We had Sunday lunch at The Snooty Tavern, the food was very good as was the atmosphere and staff. The site itself has a small shop but you can also go into the village to the community shop and community pub. The toilet block at the site was excellent, the ladies had several toilets, several showers which were exceptionally clean and which worked well with plenty of room to undress and store your clothes etc while showering. There were 2 hair dryers which although I have thick hair dried it very well, the block was well lit and well heated. There is a small play area for the children and although we didn’t have children we had a lot of fun watching the children cycle round the site, good surfaces for bikes and very safe, good lighting at night as well. Good recycling facilities and water points. We had a lovely time and wish to thank the wardens for doing such a great job, we look forward to returning.

Lovely little site

Nice warm greeting from the wardens. Found a nice flat pitch around the edge. Stayed for two nights and it was very peaceful. Nice walk into the village which has published and a community shop, carried on to Grafham Water which has a cafe, museum and bike hire. The bathroom facilities were a little tired but in perfect working order and very clean. Did trips out to St Neots and Duxford Airfield.

Lovely Site

This a lovely site. We stayed here for 2 nights as we wanted to cycle around Grafham Reservoir. Excellent facilities, very peaceful location and everyone was so friendly. Also we had the privilege of a visit from the resident owl and the surprise of pizza night, which was very tasty. Thank you to the wardens for making this site so special.

Great Site

Lovely site, toilets kept clean. Wardens were really pleasant and nothing was to much trouble, When we first arrived there were only about 10 caravans on the site but at the weekend it seemed to fill up a bit more. There was a sense of peace and tranqulity all the time we were there. Grafham Water is within walking distance and is amazing. Lots of lovely walks. About 35 minutes from Cambridge which made a lovely day out. Would definately return. Thank you to the wardens for making us feel welcome

This was our first visit to the site. We really enjoyed the visit and found this surprising. There is so much to do in the area. We visited Haughton Mill and Grafham Water. Had a number of local walks. We had a great meal out at Long Yuen Court, at Little Paxton. About 10 minutes drive from the site. A great meal with fantastic service at good value. We will most certainly return to explore more of the area. The wardens do a great job
