Godrevy

Once again we thank the wardens for doing an excellent job, nothing is too much trouble for them. We have visited many times and have always enjoyed our time there. This is our favourite CC site thanks

Making Some Memories

Very stormy nights and lovely sunny days, we stayed for 8 nights in August, with our 2 dogs and our son who joined us from Exeter. The site is clean & tidy, helpful wardens and close proximity to the beach. Great location with easy access to the site and good road links to the surrounding area. Visited St Michaels Mount, Lands End, St Ives, Penzance and Hayle itself. the beach is lovely and the dunes are fab for the dogs; we couldn't go into the water on one day as the pollution was high due to the heavy storms, but that didn't spoil our trip, will be back soon

Late autumn break

Had considered staying at this site over the past few years but was put off by some of the reviews . Because of recent more positive reviews decided to give it a go .  Pleased we did . Yes the site could do with a make over ie updating toilet block and maybe some hard standing pitches for early and late season touring but the  friendly wardens and the general cleanliness of the toilet blocks etc could not be faulted . The new site wardens have had a very positive impact on the site and should be congratulated for all their hard work . Few better site locations in the network and I do hope the Caravan Club puts some investment into the site to compliment the work of the wardens .  We will certainly be back next year .

Great site in so many ways.

We visited site for 5 days in mid-October after a fantastic stay earlier in the year. We were not disappointed. The area, beach, coastal walks and spotless facilities could not be better and as a bonus we had a dry week. We have not come across more helpful wardens for many a year. All 4 plus the volunteer seemed to be at it non stop and still always had time for a "Hello" and with a smile.Visit this site, for an all round super break/holiday.

Brilliant site and Wardens

We had a fabulous holiday at this site in September. This is by far the best site we have stayed at. What makes it extra special is the Wardens. They are the most friendliest we have met. Since they took over this site what a difference they have made. The pitches are spacious now and well managed. The facilitity block is kept immaculate and so are the site grounds. Thank you all. We will be back next year.

Amazing

We recently had an eight night stay at this wonderful site.  We go there every October and love it.  Lovely clean site, toilets great, wardens friendly and a short walk to probably the best beach in Cornwall.  We always go when the dogs can go on the beach (1.10.15) and we love it.  The site is quiet and situated not far from any shops.  Love it here and already planned when we are going next year.

First timers - Loved it!

It was with some trepidation that we made our first ever booking at Godrevy Park with our brand new (secondhand) motorhome. We've never really camped, never had a caravan and had only slept overnight in "the beast" once to try it... We needn't have worried- we had a lovely time at Godrevy Park and the operators could not possibly have been any more helpful- they really took the stress out of our first time and provided so much information for us. With no prior experiences to compare and contrast it is difficult to be objective. However, we found that the pitch was ideal, the connection and services worked as they should and it was lovely and peaceful- just what we wanted. The toilet and shower block was as good as we wanted and its difficult to imagine how it could be better. Warm, clean and nice! The chemical loo disposal point was a revelation to me- I had feared that part of it perhaps more than any other, but it was clean, efficient and hassle-free. I did have a lot of trouble trying to position the motorhome over the waste water outlet at the end of the stay- With the outlet at the back and limited turning room I had to reverse over it on the slant and me and the missus found it difficult to "communicate" effectively over that! :) The walk to the local beach and the surrounding areas was lovely- yes it can be quite a hike, but that was just fine for us, we didn't come expecting a resort with everything at fingertip reach. Nearest pub is 15 minutes walk away down a road with no pavements or lights- we didn't have a problem but people with more limited access or mobility might have trouble getting to the pub. The local surfers' café (licensed), 15-20 minute walk away, was well worth the trip- the breakfast was stunning and the views overlooking the bay made it a special time. We wanted to go back there for evening meal but found that you needed to book and it closes fairly early (circa 9pm IIRC). I wish we had booked, but at least we had the lovely breakfast. If you are looking for the Cornwall "experience" with peace and quiet and without the crowds this is the place for you. We loved it and we'll be back though hoping not to have to contend with near hurricane winds at 1am next time :) we stayed in August 2015

The perfect site for us

We had eight very enjoyable days on this site where the wardens were there usual helpful selves as we have stayed here a few times before. The Fish & Chips from the visiting van were extremely nice as were Philps pasty's and chicken salad rolls which we bought in Hayle. The National Trust at Godrevy down the road is also a nice spot to have a walk around and watch the seals larking about. Best of all their were some nice people visiting the club site that made it a great place to be. If you read this Dave all the best to you and we hope you enjoy your new home. We had no trouble with dogs as all were well behaved and all of the owners so I cannot understand the comment from some person who appears to be very anti dog. But I did spot a fox on site two nights keeping the rabbits down.

October Sunshine at Godrevy

We just spent a lovely weekend at Godrevy Park. Last trip of the year for us and it turned out the be great weather on the Friday evening and both Saturday and Sunday, although we had a bit of a pasting overnight into Monday before we left. However we had thought ahead and got the awning down on Sunday afternoon so we did not have to pack it up wet before we left. The only downside was a bunch of noisy paragliders who arrived in the field next door on Saturday afternoon and completely ruined the peace and quiet of this usually wonderful site. Outside of the wardens control unfortunately but maybe the club should consider asking Cornwall Council if the farmer has Planning Permission to use the field for non-agricultural purposes. I bet he doesn't.
