One of our favourite sites so far

This was our first visit to this site and what a pleasant one it was. Beautifully laid out, all grass pitches.  Very quiet. Easy walking access to sand dunes and beach. Toilet and shower facilities were good and always clean. Wardens were all excellents Thanks

Super Pleasant

Bit late with this review, sorry. This is an excellent site in a great location for Hayle and the surrounding area, nowhere appears to more than an hour away. The staff were very knowledgeable about the area, plus they obviously loved the site as it was kept clean and well tended, they always made time to chat.

Highly Recommend

This was the first time we had travelled this far into Cornwall as we had always wanted to visit St Ives and the surrounding area. We found the site well laid out, accessible and easy to navigate the van onto the pitch. The facilities were clean and tidy. We found the Wardens friendly and really helpful, ready for a joke as well as taken the responsibilities for the site seriously. As we are not dog owners, we found the two dog free areas a really good idea. The site has easy access to some nice walks into the dunes opposite, with a National Trust area and walk just a very short drive up the road. The whole peninsula is easy to drive around and everything from Lands End, Penzance and St Ives, along with other attractions all within a short drive and easy reach. Overall this was a lovely site and certainly one we would recommend and return too later in the year.

A fantastic site for exploring the area

We had a fantastic stay at Godrevy Park. From the site there are great walks over the dunes. Just up the road is a national trust carpark the leads to a seal colony. Beautiful flowers are everywhere and the site was very well maintained. The staff went out of there way to make our stay a delight.

This lovely site will be home from home

Our son now lives in Hayle and so this site will be home from home. It is close to the A30 but not so close that you can either see or here it and is handy for so many places in west Cornwall including St Michael's mount (10 - 15 minute drive away), Falmouth, Penzance, St Ives and even has a station for those who don't want to drive too far. The site itself is lovely and I cant understand the moans about the loos. They are clean and tidy and pleasant enough. No problems at all with anything on this very cold late April. The only problem I have with the location sort of is getting to the dunes and open land above them for people who like me don't like walking in dunes. The access out of the gate is on a bend and in my opinion every time you cross the road you potentially take your life in your hands particularly if you have very elderly dogs as I do. Also the beaches might be an easy walk for the fit and young but not so for the older ones (dogs and humans). Also this time I spoke to a lady who saw 3 adders in the dunes none of which were particularly keen to move as they were warming up. There are no signs or warnings about adders in the dunes as such so people need to be aware. This is no reflection of course on the club site and has no bearing on how I rate it. Regarding access to the beach between end of September and end of April, there is a wonderful large car park at a place called Phillack which you can get to by going through Hayle and following the signs just before the co-op. The views on the drive are spectacular and even more so as you get out of the car park and walk past the pub (surely a place to go for a meal for those magnificent views). Once past there, there is a gentle slope so ideal for parents with children and pushchairs and the older folk too all year and for dogs out of season. The beach from here is amazing and as good as anywhere in Cornwall. Godrevy site is really good with friendly helpful wardens and is in a really good location for visiting all those places people want to see in this part of Cornwall. (There's even a seal rescue centre near Helston). As our son now lives in Hayle, this will be a site we regularly visit and already feels home from home but we have joined the ranks of the motorhomers who tow a car and this made life even easier!

First Rate Quiet and Clean Site

We enjoyed a four night stay at Godrevy Park during April, plenty of space, and the division of the site by hedges should mean that the quiet atmosphere is maintained even in the busier times. Good walking directly from the site, the dunes can be a bit confusing to navigate, but Hayle and Godrevy Head are both easy walks, with the attraction of a seal colony at Godrevy Head. Also very easy to access, only a short drive from the A30, which also means other attractions inn West Cornwall are also easy to get to.

All good!!

Just returned home after a four day stay at this lovely site. This is a slendid caravan site with friendly helpful wardens, well kept green grass, easy access to a fantastic  beach, dog walking on beach (not between 1/5 and 31/9) but all year in dunes and coast path. You will find Asda, M&S, Lidl and a Co-op in Hayle so getting supplies is straighforward. Toilet block is completely adequate and kept spotlessly clean. The wadens and assistants are doing a great jub. Thanks for a very enjoyable stay.

April visit

Its 4 years since we visited this site and it is now far tidier and better kept. However the toilet block is very old its dark gloomy noisy (worn out fan heaters) and we finished up showering in the van rather than use the block. Bearing in mind fees have risen quite steeply of late this is a poor value offering.

Lovely break.

Helpful friendly chatty wardens. Clean and well managed, remember this is all grass so needs our care as well. Toilet block clean and tidy but getting tired could do with updating and some hardstanding. But that is upto the club. The wardens are working hard for our benefit and doing a great job. Thank you, Ideal site for Cornwall and great beach. Left in galeforce winds and rain, and made it home thankfully site well draining, but need constant care and they are doing stirling job. Thank you

Wonderful, relaxing and friendly

This is a little gem hidden away amongst the dunes in Gwithian. With access straight out to the south west coast path through the back gate, it's the perfect base for a walking holiday.  The wardens were helpful and friendly and ensured that our stay was perfect. They really have to work hard to look after a site with all grass pitches. Despite the fact that it had been chucking it down with rain they were very helpful when we left, providing mats so that we didn't damage their lovely grass pitches.  The facilities are a little dated BUT they are spotlessly clean, the water is hot and free flowing. At this time of year, with it being so quiet, you could shower at any time and be assured of hot water! For us, this was the perfect quiet site (although we were grateful for the internet access to be able to check the weather!) and we really relaxed ... the added visit of the fish and chip van with some of the best fish we'd ever eaten ... we couldn't have asked for more!  Thank you :)
