The new shower block was very clean & warm.
Beach & sand dunes nearby and also a pub about 5 mins drive away.
Plenty of supermarkets a short drive away.
Wardens were very helpful.
Will definitely go to this site again.
A great site!
The couple running this site are great. They were welcoming and extremely helpful, a great example of putting the customer’s needs first.
Also, the new shower block is of a very high standard and kept spotlessly clean.

Lovely site, great location. Poor WiFi.
Our third stay at this site was for 2 weeks in September 2024.
We love this site, it’s location is great, just a 10-15 minute walk to a beautiful beach and cafe.
The shower block is new and has been rebuilt. The new block is very nice but the shower heads are so close to the wall that you have to stand on the drain to get wet! It’s a shame that the shower heads weren’t designed so that they protrude further out from the wall. Lighting in the showers is quite dim.
The floors are large non slip tiles. When wet these tails hold onto every piece of grass and hair. The wardens clean regularly but the mop and bucket system just swishes all the hairs around. It would be better if the floors were hosed so that hair and grass is pushed down the shower drains.
Wardens were friendly and helpful.
Our grass pitch was very nice in one of the small areas that feel like a self contained area.
The site is great for dogs, a gate leads out of the back of the site to sand dunes and down to the beach.
WiFi is patchy, we usually had decent access in the morning but this was inconsistent and not stable.we have premium access but often we couldn’t access it at all. We’re finding this to be common to every club site we have stayed on in the last 12 months despite the upgrades.
Great Location, Site mostly empty due to no facilities block, Take levelling ramps!
This site is in a good spot near the entrance to Gwithin Trowans dunes and beach. its approx 15 mins walk from the main beach entrance to the site back gate.
I loved being able to hear the sea from the pitch at night, no traffic noise was another bonus.
the pitches are undulating and i needed my levelling ramps. Electric bollard was through a hedge into the next copse (there was a path), I had plenty of space although I couldnot put my car in the correct place due to both mine and the neighbours pitching however because the site was almost empty this wasn't an issue.
For my stay there were no facilities on offer and the wifi was poor, a new facilities block was being built in the daytime and a large area of the site was cordoned off to allow for this. it is possible that wifi range will improve once this work is complete.
A fish and chip van visits twice a week, I ate from it on one day, £12 for fish chips and mushy peas.
Overall a nice stay, having no facilities didn't bother me because I normally rally, I suspect had the site been full It might of felt crowded on the pitches.
Beautifully located site
This is our second visit here and it does not disappoint. The staff are friendly and helpful. The facilities are spotlessly maintained. Situated opposite Upton Towans it is a dog and dog walker’s paradise either among the dunes or along the golden sandy beach. I don’t think our dogs want to go home!
The only mark down on peace and quiet is because I don’t think I have heard such a noisy tractor mower before, however it doesn’t go on for that long to be fair.
Lovely site but the staff let it down!
Lovely location and the site was spotless. We were met on arrival by a lady who seemed to be pleasant enough who directed us to the pitches available for our stay. That’s where the pleasantries ended. All the staff looked as if they’d been sucking on a lemon for the remainder of our stay. No good mornings, asking for information seemed to be a choir and they all looked unhappy in their work. Very surprised at other reviews about the staff, maybe the ones we had were standing in whilst the friendly ones were on holiday?? Will not be staying at that site again, pity as the location was lovely, definitely not had an experience like this in twenty years of touring.
Lovely site great location
Apologies for the delay in delivering this review, but we stayed at Godrevey for a week in the middle of June. We loved every minute of our stay. We arrived on a Sunday and initially were quite disappointed that there were only a few pitches available to choose from but in the end, we were happy with our choice as it was a nice corner plot, plenty of space close enough, but without being next to the toilets?
Once again, received a very warm welcome from the wardens, who gave a brief overview of the site and its facilities and they let us off to select a pitch. As always when we passed them or they passed us we were always met with a friendly greeting.
Plenty to see and do around the site, including the open top bus service directly into St Ives, and plenty of walks down to Gwithian, the beaches and out to the National Trust headland and beyond.
Only one little observation is that whilst the toilet facilities were always spotlessly clean they are looking tired and certainly in need of updating for a site so popular.
We shall definitely return.
VERY KIND STAFF and GREAT LOCATION
They were very kind during our stay, we had technical problems with our motorhome and they helped us by extending our stay despite the fact that the campsite was fully booked and by supporting us in the transfer to the train station so that we could return home. I would also add that this campsite is near very beautiful beaches and cliffs. Thanks again in particular to the two ladies at reception for their kindness and understanding, also with our kids. We will definitely be back.
Superb location
We had two lovely, peaceful weeks here in June. The site is ideal for walking to the beach across the Towans / sand dunes and as a base for access to St Michaels Mount, Penzance, Mousehole, St Ives, Perranporth and Newquay. The Towans are an important nature reserve and while we were walking at quiet times we saw common lizards, slow worms and skylarks. The site is well maintained by the friendly and helpful site team. The nearby pub The Red River Inn, with excellent beer, is a 30 minute walk away. The National Trust carpark (free to members) is a short drive past the pub and provides access via a bridge across the Red River to a delightful beach. I hope we will return to this site.
Great Site
A perfectly placed site for West Cornwall. Quiet, near the beach and great walks. Perfect for dogs and families. Choice of places to visit are far to many to list but perfectly placed for St Ives, St Michaels Mount, Penzance and the Lizard Peninsular to name a few. Bus service from site entrance. Immaculate facilities and super site managers who always seem able to smile, even when dealing with problems. We always aim to visit every other year
