Fab location.....But
I tried to book a four night stay here, we have been many times over the years, I wanted to book an awning pitch but the web booking showed no availability for the first night of our stay. I could only book the first night on a non awning pitch & then the next three on an awning pitch. On arrival I explained what I had booked & why (got the distinct impression that the warden was not happy as two seperate payments had to be made??????) I enquired if an awning pitch was actually available to save moving in the morning but was told a definite NO.
Whilst I was attempting to sort the pitch situation out in the office, hubby was being "told off" by the male warden for daring to stop in the wrong place!!!!! He had parked just behind the white line where he expected to have complied with the rules on the board, but apparently not, even though there was no other vehicles anywhere around ! Not a good start!
That evening after squeezing a 26ft motorhome & tow car into a minute non awning pitch we walked the dogs around the site (about 8pm) only to find five unoccupied awning pitches ! WHY??
The shower block I'm afraid is still as bad as I remembered it with virtually no water pressure at all, they are in desperate need of an upgrade we have been out exclusively on club sites for the last month & this is definitely the worsed facilities block of all our chosen sites.
All that said, the site was very full with large windbreaks surrounding the caravans all over the place making the site feel very crowded, but,the weather was absolutely gorgeous & the beach as great as we remembered it, you could have been anywhere abroad, simply stunning.
Will we return? Yes,possibly, but only because of its location opposite such a stunning beach.
