I loved this holiday, the site was very welcoming and everyone was so friendly, the wardens were very helpful and it was a pleasure to be there. We went for bike rides and walks and visited the local pub, it was so relaxing and we really enjoyed it.
Relaxing
Had really nice relaxing week as there is just nothing else to do apart from visiting the pub and going for a walk with the dog.The views are superb especially when we changed pitches to one on the harbour front.. The wardens we're brilliant and they made sure your outfit fitted the pitch you were put on. Facilities were spotless carnt fault it apart from it been100mile from the lakes.Would come back but it is out in the sticks but really enjoyed our stay

Visit to Garlieston
Stayed the first week in September and we were blessed with good weather Our most favourite of sites as it is a haven of peace and tranquility
The wardens are helpful, friendly but no intrusive and the site is a credit to them both with the lovely flower baskets and the overall cleansiness the pitches are well maintained and spacious
The surrounding walks and the small beach are
excellent for visitors with dogs and the friendly pub in the village serves excellent food from breakfast to evening meals
For those with children there is not much around to entertain but for those without a great place to relax and chill
limited shopping in this small village so it is advisable to stock up as the nearest supermarket we found was in Newton Stewart
Definately back for R&R next year!

Short stay August Bank Holiday
Stayed for 3 nights over August Bank Holiday, beautiful and tranquil sight with lovely walks and stunning scenery along the coast. Isle of Whithorn worth a visit as is Wigtown. Good local pub 5 minutes walk serving excellent menu choice need to book though if wanting a meal as very popular. Wardens very friendly and knowledgable work hard to maintain the high standards will definitely stay again.
Relaxing Bank holiday
We stayed at this site over the August bank holiday. Although the site was almost full it was peaceful possibly because it was not a holiday in Scotland and the site does not have a play area for children. The site is immaculate with a magnificent display of flowers around the office and entrances. All the facilities were very clean and tidy and the wardens very helpful and friendly.
Garlieston has a small shop/post office where you can order papers/bread. Wigtown also has a Co-op store. There is also a very good pub which serves meals. This area of SW Scotland is quiet but has a number of interesting places to visit and the scenery is lovely. We shall definitely return.

What a lovely site.
This is a beautifully maintained site that is a credit to the present wardens. We very much enjoyed our 6 nights there at the end of July. The sea views from our van windows were gorgeous. There are plenty of good walks from the site, such as Rigg Bay and Galloway House Gardens, as recommended by the wardens and the area looks to be very suitable for cycling. There is an excellent bus service from the site, which goes to Wigtown, Newton Stewart and also the lovely Isle of Whithorn, with its exceptional sea views and excellent restaurant. The pub near the site does breakfasts, lunch and dinner, with a very good Sunday carvery and you can order your newspapers from there and other essentials. This is one of the best sites that we have ever stayed at and we will certainly be visiting again.

great site
great site , facilities spotless and plenty hot/boiling water, would suggest closing windows in toilet block prior to dark as lots of flies coming in, lots to do in area, walking/cycling, good bus service to other villages, local pub/restaurant good with friendly staff and customers, wardens friendly and helpful, will definitely return
