perfect place to unwind

Truly beautiful site. There can be no better place to unwind and chill, so incredibly peaceful. Probably not the ideal site for children, no play area etc. Lovely site for dogs and their owners however, lovely scenic coastal walk, almost directly from the site gate. Local pub just a couple of minutes walk, very friendly and welcoming. We did not eat their but noticed several of our caravan neighbours dining, dogs very welcome too. A site I will definitely return too soon, loved it.

Great first visit to Garlieston

This visit was our first to the area, the location of the site was ideal for exploring the local area on foot or by car. From our arrival the wardens were friendly and helpful and this continued with the relief wardens who arrived during our stay. The facilities and grounds were well maintained. We enjoyed that the site was an easy walk to the local (Harbour Inn) which served great food and offered a real ale, we were welcomed by both staff and locals. We will definately be back.

Garlieston

This was our third visit to this peaceful site. The friendly welcome, the location by the sea and lots of interesting places to visit make this a favourite for us.The Harbour Inn which is very close by serves great food. The local bus service is reliable if you don't want to drive. Lots of lovely walks/ cycles are easily accessed. Well worth a visit.

A favourite site

The Garlieston site is ideal for a short relaxing break. Facilities are spotless and the wardens friendly and helpful. There are a couple of coastal walks from the site, and the Isle of Whithorn, Wigtown, and Port William are worth a visit. The village has lost is local store, but there is a post office with very limited stock. The nearby Harbour Inn is much improved with a very welcoming atmosphere and their meals and real ale are highly recommended.
