wonder site

arrived Friday april 21. booked service pitch as don't like grass pitch. with the length of the grass under the new grass cutting I would not like to sit on grass pitch at all. well its been a few years since I was on a club site like this. wonderful friendly very welcoming wardens. the site was immaculate. no weed covered pitches. everything first class on the site. The toilets where absolutely spotless. You new as soon as you entered the shower block. Very quiet and peaceful and caravaners very friendly. I remember when all club sites where like this. A gold star to these two wardens. hope to get back. Great access into town and lots of walking around the loch.

Great site with easy access to town and facilities

As close to the middle of Forfar as you could probably get! Easy to access to shops, eateries, takeaways and all other facilities. This is our fourth stay here and also our longest at 4 nights. Took a pitch next to fence at the loch end and tbh did get a bit of noise from passerbys and a couple groups of teenagers but no issues other than that - it was busy so couldn't get our usual preferred area. Such is the name of the game. Had the addition of a pooch this time so made a point of walking the loch a couple of times and its well worth it - an easy 2.5 miles which included a visit to the Forfar Witches! Google it Spotless facilities though latest fixtures on the water filling taps leave a lot to be desired - leaking all over the place, someone needs to have a look at that design - its not working. Day trips to Banchory, great wee town, Perth Caravans, and a wee drive in the country was the entertainment.

Great site and area

This is the first time we have tried the east coast and we liked it. Site great and clean along with wardens very helpful and friendly. Good park for kids and a football pitch just next door. Waking distance for the town, decent bars and restaurants. We went to the Golden Dragon Chinese which was good and also go to Lunan bay which is a 20 min drive. Only 2 downsides was the toilet cleaning times from 10.30 to 12.30 which doesn't make sense and the local boy racers at night use a car park near by. Other than that we had good weather, friendly folk and a great time.

After 20 years

Back to caravanning after 20 years. We couldn't have found a better site. Everybody was so helpful, the facilities were well heated and immaculate, but the trouble is we've been spoilt for other sites! We'll be back......

First Timers

Our first time caravanning and the site at Forfar was great. Easy to access the wardens were really helpful and a great location beside the loch. Short walk into town and a great Indian restaurant. Overall a really nice introduction to caravanning.

Not too far from home

My wife and I are new to the Motorhome experience so we only travel fairly short distances to Camp Sites. The Forfar Lochside site was a huge surprise to us being only an hour away. The weather was 17 degrees (in March in Scotland!!) and we found ourselves sitting in front of the Loch with a glass of wine in our hand watching the ducks, geese, swans and coots. There is an excellent circular walk around the loch that took us only an hour. The shower facilities are good with piped music that helps to add to the relaxed atmosphere. The staff and our fellow campers were extremely friendly and helpful.

Will be back

Lovely well kept park. Toilet and shower facilities were clean and tidy. A lovely walk round the pond to be had and a great play park for the children (ours are 3 and 6 years old). Ideally located and plenty shops etc near the site.

Nice site

Just had a weekend at forfar club site. The site is a nice size, (not too big) well kept, it was very quiet even with a rally there and was virtually full, toilets were immaculate and my husband said the wardens are very friendly with a sense of humour, (not always the case we find)(I didn't get to meet them). I would have given it a 10 but the surrounding area let's it down. There is a council run park alongside the site and I think come the summer months with the light nights you could get some noise. Wouldn't stop us going back though as it is 30 minutes from home and a lovely site next to a small loch with ducks

We were lucky to visit this site three times this year & thought it one of the best . Managers were very hard working & kept site spotless , toilets always clean & no complaints on any aspect of the site, we will hope to be back , as the situation lovely & handy for the town.
