Lovely site

We have just been this weekend and had a great time. The wardens couldn't have been nicer. we arrived at 8.05 on Friday night and was worried that we wouldn't be let in but the wardens were lovely. You can pick your own pitch which is great xx lovely well laid out site right in Ferry Meadows park and within walking distance to a pub and pitch and putt golf, cycle hire and café and of course the park.

Good for kids

This site is in a beautiful location, right in the middle of a large park.  There are safe, interesting and flat cycling routes which are perfect for children.  There is a steam train which goes in to Peterborough, and events in the park itself.  A really nice site if you have children, especially as it has a nice play area as well.

Great as always!

We use this site on a regular basis at all times of year, either as a stopover on the way to, or back from a tour somewhere else, or just for a few days respite. Either way we have never been disappointed. The dogs absolutely adore all the great walks around the park and even if it's wet there are lots of paths to go round so they don't get mucky. My husband also took some lovely wildlife pics on our latest visit and enjoys an extra walk each day to the nearby Tesco Express, which stocks every thing you could need. The wardens do a brilliant job of keeping the 2 site's pristine and were as friendly as ever. Will be back soon.

Always a Great Stay

A superb site. Always a friendly welcome, facilities are clean, and security paramount. Based next to a great Country park, and the Nene Valley Railway on the doorstep, there is always something to do. Pitches are of a good size and not on top of each other - plenty of which are hard standing. Very dog friendly - we always meet people who we've met there before. Once you visit once, you'll want to return time and time again.

First timer

Visited here 15-17 April - I was surprised how close to Nene park it is, so my dogs and myself had some lovely walks around the park. Went on the steam train [but it mostly only runs at weekends]. Very impressed and will visit again, possibly bringing my friend's children with me as they would love walking, biking picnics in park.

One of our favourites.

This site offers so much- the wonderful Nene Park next door which is great for walking, picnics, cycling etc and a good central position for visiting.  This time we took a trip on the Railway and were pleased to get 50% discount as Club members - an easy way to get into Peterborough or just enjoy the ride.  Stamford is a favourite too and Rutland Water. The pitches on the East Side are really large and the new play area looks good. Just need to thank one of the wardens who really went the extra mile to help us as we had trouble getting TV and he found the problem and sorted our cable for us.

Plus there is golf nearby!

The friendliness of the stewards, the cleanliness of the facilities and the size of the pitches are as you would expect from a Caravan Club Site. In addition the site is within the Nene Park with plentiful, flat and traffic free bike rides.Close to the site is the Nene Valley Railway,a nice pub eatery,a garden centre,a great bike shop and a pitch and put plus reasonably priced 18 hole golf course. The Peterborough Show Ground is nearby.I think it may only be at the weekends but on a slip road approaching the Nene Park a  Veg stall and a Butchers stall sell fresh Lincolnshire produce-the mucky carrots and black pudding are to die for! A must visit site!

Little Gem!

We booked a four night stay here to visit the Motorhome show at the nearby showground. It was our first visit, booked for location to the show but what a fabulous surprise! The welcome was warm and friendly as always. The pitch was a lovely size. The facilities were warm and spotless. The site itself is set within the gorgeous Nene Park. The park is beautiful. It has several lakes with walks all around, a miniature railway, childrens play parks, a café and a visitors centre. The Nene Valley Steam Railway is also within walking distance of the site. We will definitely return asap!

Always Worth A Visit

We've been to Ferry Meadows on several occasions, it's in a perfect location for visiting some of the lovely Northamptonshire villages and countryside. On the other hand if you'd rather stay close to the site the Country Park is a delight for a gentle stroll or a brisk walk, as the mood takes you. The steam railway will take you almost to the centre of Peterborough. The site itself is well up to the usual Caravan Club standards and the staff are friendly and helpful.
