Our favourite site

We really enjoy this site. The amenities are very good.Site wardens are so helpful. As we have a motorhome nearby transport services are always important to us and this site suits everyone with local buses and a steam train into peterborough. Also very good for bicycling around the adjoining park. All in all a great site.

Good family site

Visited for the second time this year. Previously on West side but chose East this time because of visit from Grandchildren. Playground a great hit for them and nearby Nene Park also great for walks and bike rides. All hard standings full on arrival but grass pitch was fine and not too close to play area so still peaceful. Site staff very friendly and helpful and Friday Fish and Chips good! I expect the grandchildren will be looking for a return next year.

Ferry Relaxing

We needed a well earned break that was not too far from our home in East Norfolk. Ferry Meadows was recommended by a work colleague and we weren't disappointed. The staff were welcoming and helpful, the facilities were spotless and although the site was full, it was very quiet and peaceful. Just what we needed to unwind. We will return.

Watch out for the Rabbits!

We love this site and have been many times before. The location for the City and Nene Park is superb. When we packed up I discovered our mains hook-up lead had been nibbled by the rabbits through to the conductors and is a complete right off. Luckily we believe there were no rabbit fatalities. But I do have a lighter wallet! Still a great site though and we will return.

ferry good place

i love this site, lots of walking and cycling. site is clean and well looked after. toilet blocks spotless and clean. all i can say and its not the sites fault but at all costs avoid the chip van.....have had three visits to chip van and never had a good meal yet....last time i visited site i went to local chippy and had first class meal at the hot box in wistow.

First visit for 8 nights not enough times loads to see and do, the site is very good with having two sides and the park is great to much to do in a week the train is a good day out and the bus is close overall a really nice area to visit

Great site good location

I have passed Peterborough on many occasions but not stayed at Ferry Meadows until recently. It is a great site and the location is good - not too far off the A1 if going north or south. Whist I didn't use the park nearby, I can see that this would be great for families - or just a walk. The wardens were very helpful and the site is kept in an excellent condition. Certainly I'll be using this site again.

Smashing site

Stayed her on our way back home from France. Lovely site next to large country park. Very good for wildlife walks. Also near to Steam Railway, enjoyed the sound as it chuffed along. Well signed cycle route that takes you into Peterborough in 3 miles or so. Site is everything you'd expect, clean tidy and with TV points on the electric hook ups. Staff very helpful. Will visit again

wow factor

This site is easy to get to just off the A1 which you can hear some traffic noise in the early morning, but not enougth to put u off visiting as this site is very near to all amenities we walked into Peterborough and round the lakes all flat and on tarmac paths, good cycling paths. The site is spotless and I could set my watch every morning at 9-00 am along came the wardens and emptied the bins, they always said good morning to everyone and had there day mapped out a pleasant stay and will be coming back.

super site

when we arrived at reception we were made to feel very welcome, site very clean and tidy toilets and showers very clean and a pleasure to use .as we enjoy cycling site is excellent for off road
