Ferry Meadows in Nene Valley Country Park.
Ferry Meadows CC site is situated in an excellent position in The Nene Valley Country Park which contains many leisure facilities - walks, bike routes, water activities, wild life and a steam railway!
The site is very well kept, very clean and tidy with friendly and helpful wardens.
As the site is in two sections East side for families and West side for a quieter pitch.
Pitches are level and a generous size.
We have stayed here many times over the years and would thoroughly recommend it.
Easy access to Peterborough by bus, train or walking.
Lovely site
Stayed March 24-26th. Site easy to find, very clean & tidy. Liked that it had a small shop.Dog friendly site. Lots of local walks/pubs & fish and chip van on site Fri/Sat pm. Couldn't get any TV reception but that didn't really matter. Will definately go back sometime & take the teenagers. Ideal if you have bikes too.Nene railway runs very close to the site & goes to Peterborough, it was lovely to see the steam engine. Discount fares for members & £1 for a dog!
Lovely Site!
We love Ferry Meadow caravan site it is nice and quiet, has nice walks in the area. Easy access for the bus into Peterborough. The wardens are doing a great job looking after the site, which makes it one of the best places to visit and we can't wait return.

Ferry Meadows
Stayed for the weekend Friday 17 March to Sunday 19 March. Lovely facilities, staff very helpful, minor problem with the electricity supply which in no way detracted from our stay. Will come again

Great site
This was our first CC site being new motorhome owners! Lovely site, plenty of space, peaceful and clean. Very good facilities, clean and warm. Good shop, very nice managers, Alan especially very helpful with useful hints and tips. Lovely walks local to the site. Would definitely go back again.
LOVED IT!
We usually only ever stay on CL's,but decided to try Ferry Meadows because it is only March, and not all that many caravans at CL's. plus the midweek offer. We found our pitch overlooking the Steam Trains which we loved watching. The resident Blue Tits were up bright and early and carried on for most of the day. The country park next door was really beautiful with the daffodils in bloom , and walking the many footpaths around the lakes was just wonderful, with a couple of cafes for coffee and tea breaks. The great thing about bigger sites is that there is always someone to talk to, so with all these positives we wlll definately be back.

Nice spot
Nice spot, easy to find and get to, very clean and tidy with as always good facilities for motorhomes.
Friendly staff, nice welcome and easy arrival and departure. Right next door to Nene Park, great for walks and Dogs, a lovely spot.
My only negative comment is that the entrance to the car park for Nene Park is behind the site, the exit has floor mounted metal ramps to prevent anyone going in the wrong way - every car that exits, of which there are many, rattle and clatter these ramps every time they drive out - very loudly - I got used to it, but it drove me mad until I worked out what the noise was !
Love this site
We have stayed here twice now, and loved it both times. We love walking or cycling up to the country park, cycling into Peterborough on cinder track paths (i.e. Off road pretty much the whole way). Apparently there is a super new play area, the kids went and found it, but I think we spent more time in the country park.

Not as advertised!
Just spent half term week here with 3 young grandchildren. They were looking forward to the "new super playground" but on arrival when enquired if pitches were available close by, surprisingly was told it wasn't open. Why? Told not "peak" time and on East site. The East site has limited hard standings and booking tents is from May to September so is it assumed the super playground is only available during this time! Maybe would be a good idea to add a rider on the website to the Why Stay Here... that the New super playground is only open during certain periods even though this is an open all year site. We did "see the fantastic new facilities!"; from the road that leads into Nene Park!! Some work needed on the roads on the East side, areas of standing water all week. Thank goodness for excellent outdoor facilities for children close by.
