Even better than expected

We arrived here not sure what this location would be like. We knew that everything would be at the excellent standard of the club and it was. We were located on the east side and had plenty of pitches to chose from. Even with the greenery there were sunny bright spots all around this side. It was especially quiet at nighttime. The location of the site surrounded by Nene Park meant that we were able to walk off site in varying directions and enjoy the surroundings. We were thoroughly impressed with this site and would recommend it to others.

Excellent Site

We visited in order to visit the Motor-home Show; easy access from the site to the showground (about 7 minutes by car) The site is split into East and West, East has the children's play area and has mainly grass pitches whilst the West side has predominantly hard standings. There are toilet blocks in each section. We were on the West section so most of my comments relate to that area. The layout is good with several small sections holding a few pitches each. The camp was busy but still remained quiet and peaceful, toilets were good quality and well maintained and clean. Reception was open throughout the day and had a well stocked shop. Wardens were friendly, helpful and efficient. The public park next door has lots of space for both human and canine exercise and although it is often very busy with organised races etc it has ample parking so does not intrude on the site. Access to the site by motor home or towing is easy.

Motorhome Service Point Needs Improvement

We stayed the weekend after Easter to attend the National Motorhome show and the Tornado steam special on the Nene Valley Railway. We stayed on the West site, and our pitch backed on to the footpath and railway line through the trees so I could hear the trains running past which I enjoyed. The site staff were helpful and friendly. The main issue that detracted from a perfect score is the motorhome service point. The grey water point was inaccessible on our UK built 'van if we followed the one-way arrows, and therefore had to go the wrong way along the road to the point. This needs to be upgraded to a grid that runs the width of the road in order to enable both UK and continental 'vans to be serviced.

Recent Stay

Just spent 6 nights over the Easter period on this great site with the grand children they loved the new play area. We where pleasantly surprised where we had pitched our van the noise from the play area was quite and soon as it was dusk the children had gone back to there respective caravans. Facilities where spotless and its wasn't a rush in the mornings for the shower block as it didn't close until 14.00 to 15.00 for males 15.00 to 16.00 for the ladies. Fish and Chip van calls 3 times a week but unfortunately we are not a lover of them, Plenty todo in Nene Park for the children plenty of bike rides local train into Peterborough.

Wonderful easter stay for three nights

.We stayed here with our two children, and we loved our break. So much that we have booked up to return again later this year. Ideal for walking, cycling or just enjoying the lake, river & wildlife Always nice to see an old steam train that runs along the back of the site. Lots of local places to eat & drink, Peterborough only a short drive away. We were met by friendly staff and would recommend this site to many more people .

Relaxing break with great walks for the whole family including the dog

What a great site. Facilities on west side were spotless and have only recently been renovated looking at them. The pitches are all a good size. The Country Park the sire is situated in is perfect for the family. At Easter despite the visitor numbers the park was spotlessly clean at all time with a great café and bar. We will definitely be coming back soon.

fantastic easter holiday

We had a wonderful holiday on This site which unfortunately was not long enough, the whole family enjoyed it. The staff were friendly and helpful. The facilities were the usual club standard. The site is spread across two sites with a road through the middle. The day we arrived was a day before they were due to open more pitches that had been closed for the winter. The spaces were on the side where the fantastic play equipment was situated. There were no spaces left on this side, however, the wardens came and measured out for us and we had a fantastic grass pitch. The play equipment was fantastic and suited toddlers to 12yr olds. As all the families were together, the kids were able to play out and make lots of friends. The ice cream truck visits most nights and the fish and chip van on set evenings, so make sure you have cash. We did not really explore nene park and surrounding areas as the kids wanted to stay on Site. This is a fantastic site that we will definitely visit again.

Dissapointing Fish & Chips

Staff very pleasant and helpful facilities as always on club sites excellent. Just 1 thing let the stay down no blame attached to the staff or the club but the Fish & Chips were cold and greasy had to heat up my mushy peas in the microwave to pour over my chips to warm them. Had Fish & Chips on this site several years ago which were good not sure if it's the same van but if so the have gone downhill.

Easter Trip for 9 days

We stopped here the week before Easter and over the Easter holidays a total of 10 days, well I got to say what a gem of a site, right in the heart of Nene Park and what a park, found Wardens all very friendly got to admit did not realise how big this site was spread over 2 sides of the park, well work it not to noisy as we are just a mid age couple with no kids it was still ideal with no or very little noise from younger ones as the main park is on the other side of the site. also great for local attractions and the steam railway which was operational both weekends. very good price for site generous size pitch as I have a 24foot van and plenty of room for the awning. Got to say one of the best club sites I have visited in my 11 years as a member.

One of the best Club Sites to relax

As usual facilities on this site is excellent, so peaceful, friendly/helpful wardens and staff nothing to much trouble, situated right on Nene Park with its wonderful walks around lakes and woodland, family activities abundant on site and in Park. Pleasant site surroundings to relax and chill out, have book again twice more later on in year (looking forward to our next visit) highly recommended
