We just love coming to the site every year but have noticed the shower cubicles on the east side have become rotten and the boards filled in with grey sealant. The showers are really due a refurbishment, especially when you compare them to the showers on the west side. Another big disappointment is the lack of rule enforcement on this site. Most of the dogs on the east side where not on a leads and even fouling on other people's pitches. I think it is time now for the Caravan club to ask when people are checking in have you a dog and if so it should be on a lead at all times and clean up after them. More signs are needed about the rules, as I am sure a lot of members do not read them in the caravan book.
Something for everyone
Great site in a great location. Plenty of variety of things to do within short distances.Very pleased to be talking to the Warden at 21.45 and witness him advising 3 drivers regarding their vehicle speed on site. Why do some find this so difficult to cope with, especially when there are still young children moving about? Wardens get my vote for a well managed, clean and tidy site and an insistence that people follow the rules for everyone's benefit.

Abbey's play park heaven
Abbey loves to be by the park, playing with the other children.
We get on the grass, at the back of the park and she is safe to play around.
All areas are clean and well kept, by the wardens, even after big weekends and Bank Holidays.
Its our 3rd visit here and we will return......
Very enjoyable experience
My wife and I decided to visit Ferry Meadows as a three night stopover while travelling to Cromer. We found the site clean, tidy and well laid out. Although it was recommended that we stay on the 'Reception' side by friends we thought that the other area seemed to have a more rural atmosphere.
The Country Park offers several choices for an enjoyable one or two mile walk plus two choices of refreshment location.
The site appears to have excellent children's play facilities and does fill up at weekends. I therefore tend to agree with another reviewer in that if one of your prime requirement is peace and quiet don't visit on weekends or school holidays. That said, we will definitely return for a longer stay.
What an exceeptional site
This was our first time at Ferry Meadows and were very impressed with the overall site and access to the Country Park. It is one of the nicest club sites that we have been to and will be going back as soon as we can. Didn't rate the fish and chips though but the ice cream was delicious.
Relaxing Break
We have just got home from a relaxing time at Ferry Meadows which we have visited on numerous occasions over the last few years. It is in the right location for walking and many other activities but we go for the peace and quiet and have a relaxing time around the caravan. On previous occasions the wardens have always been very kind and helpful but this time we felt we were intruding rather than holidaying as they were so strict about rules and regulations. Talking to other people there they said they felt the same but we all managed to make the most of our time there. We are both disabled so we always manage to get as near to the disabled toilets as possible and all facilities were spotless as they usually are.
My husband is deaf and on arrival new visitors have to speak through an intercom which was very awkward for us to get in through the barrier. He had to walk over to the reception to let them know. Apart from all that we shall be going back there and recommend others to holiday there too.
Depends what your looking for.
We've used this site twice in the last couple of years as a stopover returning home to Scotland from Europe. Last year we stayed on a Sunday and the site was relatively quiet. This year we stayed on a Friday and the site was very busy with families. The location is undoubtedly a great location to bring kids, but you may want too avoid it on a weekend/school holiday if you are looking for a bit of peace and quiet after a long journey. My only other comment would be that the toilets/ shower block are due a refurbishment.
One of my favourite club sites
One of my favourite club sites being in the country park and only 3 miles into the city of Peterborough, however just two things spoil it the Pigeons and the mess they leave and the
Ice Cream Van which comes round every night shattering the peace sometimes as late as 9pm.

Best place ever.
This is now our only venue, as it's such a great site and venue, with lots to do and enjoy, just on the park itself, never mind the surrounding area, with so much to see. went 7 times last year, will be four minimum this, as no need to go anywhere else, and still not seen everything. you will soon want to go again once you have been .Brilliant for kids, dog walkers, cyclists, joggers fishing Nene valley railway etc etc etc, go and enjoy, you will not be dissapointed
