Almost perfect

This site has much going for it. It is within walking distance of the town centre and stumbling distance of an excellent pub. The surroundings are spectacular with the gentle noise of the river sending you to sleep. The facilities are clean and tidy to say the least. The only negative on the site is marking, some pitch divisions could be better defined and the one way system marked with arrows on the ground. I would adviser pitches be allocated to suit size of outfit. Some people can be selfish.

Return to Exmoor House

We returned again to Exmoor House which is one of our favourite sites and once again were not disappointed. A lovely location, everything is immaculate and the facilities are spotless and the wardens very friendly and helpful. Dulverton is a delightful little town but it is a shame one of the pubs has closed and The Exmoor Beastro has moved out of Dulverton. The bus service to Minehead and Dunster is not as frequent as it was probably due to lack of use. Apart from that there is plenty of great walking and lovely Exmoor scenery.

PLEASANT STAY, QUIET, EDGE OF TOWN

This is a small quiet site on the edge of the town, adjacent to a public picnic area and a wide but shallow river ideal for wading in and catching minnows. There are plenty of eating places within 15 minutes of the campsite and a variety of small shops and the information centre - the adjacent model railway is a must to see. The Wardens were very pleasant and helpful - we were given a choice of pitch. The site was extremely tidy and the toilets clean and warm. The wifi worked well as did the TV signal. Because of its size there is little scope for children to play and no children's area, but with the adjacent river and picnic site this was not an issue for us. We were there for the walking (and running) and there are a variety of signposted and well described routes. Well wort the vist.

TOP NOTCH SITE

Just spent two nights at Exmoor House on our way home from Damage Barton with grandchildren.... super place to unwind, love Dulverton, so many lovely walks, places to eat - all facilities for a lovely holiday.  Only negative is the phone signal, BUT there is a phone booth on site if you need to be in contact with someone.  Hope to return next year for longer.

Great holiday

Everything was great the only fly in the ointment was the lack of mobile phone signal, this extends to miles around as well. Absolutely not a fault of the Caravan Club but merely something to be aware of when in the area. I would recommend the site to anyone for holiday.

Summer Road Trip

Lovely location for walking in the area and exploring the local village of Dulverton. The site has excellent and exceptionally clean facilities, good size pitches that are well maintained and a good dog run area. We explored the area with numerous walks including Tarr Steps, Valley of the Rocks, Coastal path, Lynton & Lymouth, Exmoor NP and Withypool. Our only other comments would be the signage to the site could be clearer, literally over the narrow bridge and into the pub car park. The booking confirmation read ETA 1200-1400 however its a very strict 1300 arrival only, after a very long drive the welcome from the site warden could have been a little warmer and welcoming as opposed to the feeling of being chastised. Despite there being 16 available pitches to choose from we were made to wait for 1hr in the car, requested to pay at 1245 and could only move onto site at 1300 precise, a little draconian!

Exmoor House Lovely Site

Our stay at Exmoor House Site was only our 2nd outing with our caravan. It is a really lovely site. Very peaceful, close to the lovely little village of Dulverton and Burridge Woods, which is ideal for dog walking, especially after walking for a couple of miles then you come across Marsh Bridge and its single cottage that serves a very nice cream tea to re-energise you for the walk back. We really loved this site and will be visiting again.

Just a lovely site

We stayed at this site and it has captured our heart.  The site and the village next door are a delight.   The site is beautiful, level and has a choice of standard and full service available.  The facilities are new and really good.  They are kept to the normal high standards by the great warden staff.  The walk into the village is less than 5 minutes and has lots of good local shops with a Co-op for all your needs.  There is a pub at the entrance to the site and is very popular for the food on offer.   You are a six mile walk/drive from Tar Steps, a local sightseeing must. A great place for peace and quiet and a definite one on the list to return to.

What lovely wardens

Compact but well laid out site with excellent facilities. A short walk into Dulverton with all its amenities. Walking from the site is mainly hilly. Roads in the area are fairly narrow but not too busy. Most CC wardens are great but these were extremely pleasant and helpful (they may have been the relief wardens) and went out of their way to assist.
