What a find!

Probably the best site we've stayed at for the close proximity to pubs, shops and great dog walks. The site is immaculate and sits next to the river Barle with the peaceful sound of water rippling over the rocks. Staff are great and the site is now in our top 5.

Superb site. Spotlessly clean and immaculately maintained. Site wardens well organised and helpful. Just a few minutes walk to the village and very dog friendly.

What a super site, beautifully maintained and the facilities were immaculate. Right in the heart of the village which was great and really dog friendly. Would definitely visit again, loved it :)

Nice visit

Although the weather was very wet most days, the site was not affected by it. The warden kept the site immaculate. He was working all day, mowing, weeding hard standing pitches, pruning bushes and overhanging branches, as well as watering his lovely hanging baskets. We've never seen a warden work so hard and enjoy it.

Fantastic Site Fantastic Location BUT Beware the Lady Warden !

Short weekend stay, the site and the village are perfect. Beware the lady warden not very welcoming to say the least We arrived 30 mins early at 1230 its always difficult to judge times and traffic after a 300 mile drive. We were told to wait in our car and not walk around the site. We would be allowed on our pitch in half an hour at 1pm. I was not the only member on the site to make the same comments. The gentleman warden was the complete opposite and was very pleasent in every way.

Great place to base

We stayed here for 5 nights at the end of a 2 week tour. Friendly welcome, level pitch and really clean and smart facilities. There were some issues with yappy dogs, but that's nothing to do with the site or the management of it.  On arrival, there was some confusion as to where the entrance was, as the signage stopped before the last turn. Initially, we wondered if we'd driven into a pub carpark, but it opens out into a housing estate.  All in all, we had a lovely stay and felt comfortable and secure while we were there. It's very likely that we'll be back.

Relaxing Stay

We stayed Friday and Saturday night and found the site laid back and relaxing. Very friendly, helpful greeting from wardens and a quiet pitch with only the burbling of the river heard. Good access to water and waste and some nice walks nearby. We will return for a bit longer and hopefully a bit more sun!

An excellent site.

We enjoyed two rather wet weeks on site, but proximity to the village and a good umbrella made our stay very enjoyable. In common with some other members we overshot the entrance road, mistaking the Bridge Inn instruction in the book. This set up an adventure towing through Dulverton, which is to be avoided at all costs. Problem is that we read: "turn L in front of Bridge Inn". It is not clear to first timers which is the front elevation. This may have been made more difficult to distinguish because a conservatory has recently been added. We suggest the instruction should read " turn immediately left after the bridge, and before the Bridge Inn.

Great Location

This club site is clean, well run and superbly located for access to Exmoor; but for me its location within the small town/village of Dulverton with it excellent Co-op supermarket - open until 11.0 pm - plus many places to eat out makes it my first choice. This was our fourth visit and I'm sure there will be many more if we are able to get a booking

Well located but rather crowded

A small site but nicely situated by the river on the edge of Dulverton. Shower blocks modern and well maintained as was the site. The village of Dulverton has a lot to offer in the way of shops, food shopping is not a problem. Plenty of local walking. The jewel is The Bridge Inn only a few minutes walk from the campsite. That is about all there is to say. It has all the Caravan Club rules and regulations. The pitches are high density and no 'grassy areas' to relieve the crowding The site staff were efficient but very low profile. There were no children around while we were staying, plenty of dogs, so it was really quiet and peaceful. This site is well worth visiting, the surrounding area is very beautiful.
